I think you are right. Wasn't the first Classified Snake Eyes released first with extra weapons and then later without the extras for a lower price? I bet that is what happens here. First the two pack with extra weapons and special box and then they are available separately later without the extras for (hopefully) less than $20 each.

The problem with a full "repro" o-ring line is how inconsistent the head sculpts were over the years. I wanted a little retro homage line of the main characters. If they are going to the trouble of resculpting these characters to make a large, ongoing line, then the sculpts should've been modernized with more detail and better head sculpts. Obviously, they took this approach partially in the comic pack line, which I thought was a good idea.
The problem for me is the idea of them giving up on ME figures and only doing o-ring figures from now on. The HasLab Skystriker should not have been an o-ring release. Those obscure characters it comes with would have been all-new figures to the modern line. Unfortunately, this idea seems inspired by the Mattel MOTU Origins line. Another line I have no interest in pursuing, after we got such excellent modernizations of MOTU from Matty Collector and the Four Horsemen. Not interested in an entire ongoing line based on overly retro designs. |

^ The Star Wars Retro line has been successful by capturing the 80s aesthetic. If the market wants that then I can't blame Hasbro for taking a shot.
I'd love both ME and O-Ring lines but don't believe the market can support both like it can with Star Wars. Sorry the O-Rings aren't for you. There are plenty of ME figures released since the 25th to collect and enjoy. |

Backed the Sky Striker, will probably may back another! LOOKS GREAT! Ordered a SE&SS o ring set but will probably grab a second as well. I hope they sell well enough to get more.

Just ore-ordered the Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes set!
Hasbro finally got the memo that there are a lot of fans that want o-rings Joes. This is so exciting that they are releasing o-ring figures, and I truly hope that this is a sign of a mass retail release with more classic figures. Please, please, please, Hasbro don't drop the ball on this o-ring retro line, and make sure there are plenty for all collectors who want them. |

I wonder how this Storm Shadow will hold up against yellowing? I don't recall them mentioning that.

It's still unclear whether the new O-Ring "expression" will be a Pulse exclusive going forward. The panel wording could be interpreted either way.
The next panel will hopefully clear things up. Really what's important is that they made it clear there are big plans for this line. This is technically just the beginning. |

I'm guessing there is a weapons pack in the box set? I'm actually glad they didn't put the other weapons in the bubble. Would ruin it for me.

I was thinking of all the possibilities I'd love to see (SE v2, Destro v1, CC v1 & v2, Hawk v2, etc.) and I thought it would be really awesome to get the original nine single carded Joes with Breaker, Zap, and Short Fuze having the "alternate" heads that have shown up in online photos.
