This round table was basically a Classified love fest, which I get, because Classified is what they obviously see as the future of GI Joe, it's their biggest seller for the brand, but I have to say that the lack of acknowledgement of how well the o-ring has done, and the lack of discussion about their plans for the line, was frustrating.

The team obviously feels invigorated by the HISS funding in less than a day, and let's be honest, early bird incentives really help push people to back it early (as the proton pack also proved), it had no real competition unlike the Skystriker, it had a 2000 lower funding goal than the Skystriker, it has the newness factor of being a difference scale from the vintage... so I can't help but feel that even more focus and resources will be shifted towards Classified and away from everything else, because Lenny even said that he's the only Joe designer, and any special projects he does is taking time away from new Classified figures, and Hasbro execs have recognized the success of the Classified line, and the team can take the HISS numbers to them as hard numbers to measure success... So I'm not really sure what to make of their plans for the o-ring line, but the fact that they didn't seem to want to talk about it wasn't very encouraging, again, considering that the o-ring line has been largely very successful.

When you put it that way, I guess it is demoralizing. I would have liked to hear what Lenny had to say.

For o-ring, how much of Lenny's design time is needed considering they are just copying the same old dopey faces and misshaped heads of the originals? Surely they can release some green shirt guys using the Snake Eyes body soon.
