I found the basic black Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, and two of the grey w/ ...what, a real visor? No Scarlett, Baroness, Night Creeper, nor any bikes, but maybe those were all a later wave.
I got the basic Snake Eyes and I like him. He’s not a must have figure for the adult collector or anything, but it’s fun to have a movie Snake Eyes in hand, especially having just seen the movie. As a millennial, the first Snake Eyes I ever got was v3, and I love getting a modern update to his sectional staff. I’ll cop to not knowing much about how the real-world weapon is/was used, but on the figure it works great as a flail in his left hand, with Morning Star in his right. The two short blades have neat detail, albeit unpainted like the Morning Star sheath, and are a really nice nod to Snake Eyes’s trench knife collection, as well as more specifically to the V3 sculpt. Unfortunately though, I don’t see a storage option for them. I think the sculpt and detail are great, and the articulation is just fine for my purposes, particularly at this price. The color scheme with some loosely V2-ish grey mixed in is also just fine by me, and the Arashikage hexagram adds some color. Overall, I like the figure, and will have to get a Night Creeper for him to fight, possibly others too. But I do have two beefs. One is that the legs are very long and the head, already a helmet on the small side in the Classified version, seems noticeably pinheaded because of the anime-ish legs. The other is that there are no attachment points for his two short blades, which should be wearable. Lucky the proportions aren’t distorted enough that you can’t hide them with a dynamic pose though. Whew! Since you can work around that, I give the figure a solid B, factoring in the price, and ignoring my wish that these basic figures were a different scale. |

Absolutely no toys for Snake Eyes around here, not a thing. I got Baroness Classified from the movie line, only because I pre-ordered her on BBTS. It's the complete opposite of 2009, where Walmart was stocked with all kinds of GI Joe toys, either from the movie, or "inspired" by it.

Movie Snake Eyes should have a unmasked head. He only was masked for like 10 second tops in the movie

YES, they did miss the mark on the SE toy line, where the friggin’ movie versions of the 1:18 the scale, fricking idiots!? Or did I miss the news on such a line? Hasbro seems to be alienating the still 1:18th collectors that have been supporting GI Joe since 2007 or even as far back as 1982 as well… its not like they can’t Retro parts most of it into a Snake Eyes Origins 1:18 line, got enough Ninja moulds from the past they can use for starters!
I like the classified figures (when I can actually find them), but my heart is in the 1:18 line. As far as releasing the movie stuff late, I don’t think it will help for sure, but if the toys are great people will still buy them |

Honestly, I don't know if we should have expected differently. After the over production of ROC - and subsequent leftovers. Then the boring, lame looking repacks of Retaliation. I'm sure the retailers have a long memory. If I was a buyer - I wouldn't have been eager to put the stuff on my shelves.

Found the 2 version of snake eyes and a storm shadow of the 5in variety at my target this morning. No classified.
So they are trickling out it seems. |

The base figures are Garbage (and too big for me) and while the Classified ones look good 6" is too big for me and the complete lack of 3 3/4" - 4" is just infuriating as Joe has been in that scale predominately since 82.

Yes, no 3 3/4 figures is a kick in the face of non-6-inch fans.

I am in total agreement about the 3.75” figures. These are the Joes that got us here. Someday I hope they make a full comeback.
