Speaking of HISSes, I think it's a shame we never got a wide re-release of the DTC HISS. It showed up again as Soundwave in a SDCC Transformer crossover set, but that's it. It's a great update to the original HISS, a really cool toy, and if they added a hatch to the rear and cannons to the turret, it'd be pretty perfect.

That tank is awesome. The G.I. Joe Collectors' Club did release it a couple years earlier in 2014 as a Cobra Septic HISS Tank MK II, but the colors used for the 2016 San Diego Comic Con box set made it so much better. While I have never liked Transformers, it was easy to ignore the Soundwave character aspect and just treat the toy for what it really was... a spectacular H.I.S.S. tank!

Being a fanatical Dreadnoks fan, I want everything Dreadnok-related,the Thunder Machine more than anything, as well as Zartan's Swamp Skier.
Other than those, the second edition of the HISS Tank would be great.I loved the original HISS,but I kind of pushed it aside when I got the HISS 2, because it was such a great, improved upgrade. I wouldn't complain were I to see a Rattler,Skyhawk,Killer WHALE,or Night Raven. Would also get the Dreadnok Thunder machine; never had the vintage version. Never got the HISS II (had stopped collecting before it first came out). However, I really like the way this vehicle looks; both sleek & deadly - the dark gray & red colors really work well together. I agree that it's superior to the first HISS - even though that is obviously more iconic. Last edited by Doctor Venom; 06-30-2022 at 01:59 PM.. |

I'd definitely be interested in all of these. A boxed set of Zartan with 1) a decent color changing feature 2) an upgraded, correctly sized Swamp Skier and) in retro ARAH packaging...would be amazing.

The HISS II was one of my favourites and a popular vehicle during play time with my friends.

I love the HISS II and would even love it more if it was repainted black with red highlights like Oreobuilder's amazing custom.

Initially, I thought the same thing about the colour, because it would match up with the original. Then after thinking about it,I liked that they changed the colouring. It made the HISS II stand out more, and it didn't feel like they were being lazy.

I rewatched Resolute and they had a YF-23! Was this ever made for 3.75" GI Joe?
Wouldn't fighter jets appeal to non-GI Joe plastic model kit collectors? |

I've stopped buying the Joe and Star Wars vehicles anymore but I'd definitely spring a Retro Zartan with vintage packaging.

The Stinger has me in the mood for another vehicle preferably for 4" modern as well.
Sure could use the F-22 or X-16. Nothing wrong with a F/A-18 to piggy back off of Top Gun Maverick. Could go for another rolling vehicle. Last edited by ohtani; 11-08-2022 at 07:39 PM.. |
