Only for vintage style do I prefer sculpted. Everything else benefits much more from having it removable.

I can see where customizers building their own collections would want loose components. For established characters from the companies that own the rights, these features could be crafted into the design for safety purposes (more buyers, more "little hands" on the product, more problems).

I can go either way, just depending on how well-done it looks. Compare the web gear on Grunt and Zap to Footloose and Leatherneck. Over a few years the sculpting went through the roof.

I don't mind belts, vest, harnesses, being detachable from the figure. It allows for a lot more parts reuse which means the potential for more figures!

I have to admit that I hate some things being removable because it just drives me nuts. Cobra Trooper helmets, for example, are just always falling off. When am I ever going to display a trooper without a helmet? (Classified is better than ME POC Troopers in this regard.) A lot of harnesses, backpacks, etc. look better being separate, and even some helmets are better that way.
The only thing I always hate being removable are gun magazines. This just drives me nuts. They fall out at the drop of a hat and get lost all the time. Whoever convinced Marauder to switch all of his guns to have removable magazines should be flayed alive.

I love the new retro Stalker harness. I think it is a great update to the vintage figures.
I do think some vests/harnesses can get too bulky, such as the original MTF harnesses. I think their WW2 stuff is much better, but would love to see it available in different colors. Jason |

They are harder to get off, but look really good. |

The only problem with the female Cobra Trooper from the club (the blue ones at least) is that the helmet doesn't fit the head. It would have been so much better to just not have it be a separate piece. They are even worse than the POC troopers.
