minimum depth for shelf to display Rattler and X30 Conquest?

I was wondering what the minimum depth a shelf would have to be to accommodate the Target jets? I have them, but haven't taken them out of the box yet and was just trying to plan in advance.

I figured the minimum would be when they're at an angle, not straight forward or sideways, but between that (I could be wrong). If anyone would take a quick measurement, that'd be great! Thanks in advance!

call me crazy, but wouldn't have been easier to just pull out a tape and measure them yourself instead of posting a thread about it and waiting for a "useful" reply?

I use the standard wal-mart 5-shelf bookshelves. The X-30 wing protrudes about 3 inches, and the rattler about 4 inches Each shelf will hold a rattler and an X-30 side-by-side on an angle.

I had my shelfs made to fit those Jets, since there the biggest 25th vehicles. I have them on an angle. My shelfs are 13 1/2 inches deep. If you want them to be parked straight and not on an angle, you will have to go bigger.

Thanks! Does the nose stick out at all? Or is the front landing gear up near the edge? I wouldn't care if the nose stuck off the edge.

And I COULD have pulled them out, but they are packed away, as in, in our storage space in a sealed box. I figured if someone had one close at hand, they could measure it quickly.

OK, some quick measurements.

tail to tip: 17.5 inches
wingtip to wingtip: 17.75 inches
tail to center of front landing gear: 13 inches

If you put it diagonally against a wall (wingtip and tail fin touching the wall)
wall to center of front landing gear: 10.5 inches
wall to furthest point(wingtip): 15.5 inches

These are rough measurements. I would give or take an 1/8"

Forgot to mention this is for the Rattler. I don't have a Conquest handy to measure at the moment.

Yes, the nose sticks out. The Conquest front landing gear is right near the edge.
