What’s wrong with being proud of being raised by a woman? Who supported me after my deadbeat dad ran off to join the circus or whatever? If you are white, you have experienced your privilege, whether you were perceptive enough to notice or not. You may be an “incel” that I’ve heard so much about. That’s sad. I’d have my wife show her goodies to you, but she’s too busy making good money because she is also educated. On second thought, don’t come around. I do live in Texas and I might have more guns than you might think, even though you think I’m some sort of fragile individual. When you can stop whining about your toy line not meeting your expectations, I have a snowflake shaped mirror I’d like to sell to you.

I don't have much to add that hasn't already been explained to Freddy about 10 times now. But yeah, as a kid I thought the Joe team was part of the military somehow, but it was always a vague, fuzzy relationship in the cartoon. Ultimately it didn't matter much to me. And as an adult, it makes perfect sense that Hasbro would water down the military aspect of it to better sell the toys, since they distribute them worldwide now. It does annoy me to see those filecards jammed up with multiple languages and therefore, a serious lack of depth in describing the characters. I'd rather see multiple cards included in the box and you can toss the ones out that you don't need. But then our figures might cost $40 instead of $20. LOL

When I was younger I was under the impression that a lot of the members where in the military, got asked to join, joined and no longer in military. They just worked closely with the military on missions. They did the ones that the other military couldn't do. Kind of like x-force to x-men. GI Joe had ex cops, ninjas, a news dude, etc. so it wasn't all just military.

If you recall (though I don't blame anyone for blocking it from memory), the DIC opening used the term 'International Hero'.

If anything, you're the one who is a "beta" male (which in itself is a nonsense term used by insecure guys to make themselves feel macho). There is nothing "alpha" about arguing over whether a nearly dead TOY brand is "American" or "militaristic" enough for your liking. |

Only bitch made beta male muthafuckas take issue with being called a bitch made beta male muthafucka. Especially when trying deflecting by calling the next dude insecure. When did I say that it was?

What makes you think that I'm searching for validation on a G. I. JOE message board?

For one, you are ASSUMING the Joes aren't going to be military.* There is ZERO indication that Hasbro has completely omitted the military heritage of the brand.* They just aren't going to shove into the faces of consumers because there IS a stigma associated with military toys, ESPECIALLY US military overseas.
1) Why doesn't Gung Ho have his distinctive eight pointed Marine utility cover and his eagle, anchor, globe tattoo? 2) Why is there no mention of Hawk being a general in is his profile on the Classified website. 3) Why is it that on the retro 3 3/4 JOEs file cards their military training is omitted and on the part where it states a character's primary and second military speciality the word military is omitted? 4) When I called Hasbro on Tuesday and asked the customer service representative why were the JOEs no longer in the military and why was the the references to the JOEs military training omitted from their flie cards, why did the rep tell me it was because the licenses were up, (implying that Hasbro didn't renew them,) and the military didn't want any association with G. I. JOE? When the rep told me about the military not wanting to be associated with line I said, but that doesn't explain why Hawk is no longer a general, but Major Bludd is still identified as a major. I went on to say having Major Bludd identified as a major implies that members of military are mercenaries who engage in criminal activity and we're always thanking military personnel for their service and sacrifice. I added that I didn't see the problem with children, (especially boys,) emulating the military in their play or aspiring to be in the military. I concluded with that the decision to end the JOEs military affiliation was a bad idea and they would get dragged for it by media outlet (located at 1211 6th Avenue in N.Y.C.,) or a blog founded by a dead guy named Steve and Hasbro doesn't need the negative press. Needless to say the people at Hasbro are cool. I spent 15 - 20 minutes on hold and they take time out to actually find somebody who had the answer to this question. Quote:

You're absolutely right, so I'm going to go ahead and bring this around.
Fred Broca, fuck off outta here. Your sig says it best, take off. You hate GI Joe in its current form? Go away then. All you do is sign in every couple of months and spout hatred, and most of us are over it. WE. DONT. LIKE. YOU. We like toys. And we've already ascertained that when someone has a well thought out and well articulated response to your malice, you do not respond. Seriously, no reason to stay is a good reason to go. Fuck off and let the rest of us pretend we can re-live our childhoods. Piss off outta here. Goodbye. Go.
