My preferred source material is the original 80s toon. That being said, most of the Classified figures they’ve released so far are close enough for me. I’d be fine if they never did another CC, Destro, Baroness, SE, Beach Head, Gung-Ho, Flint, Lady Jaye, Zartan or Bludd design. I would like to see another Roadblock (in a camo wifebeater and no beard) and I’d like to see new heads for Duke and Scarlett. Hasbro have been surpringly close to what I want in most cases, and I kind of expect that trend to continue. But who knows...maybe they will give us something even closer if this line continues to do well. The downside is that I’d feel compelled to rebuy a lot of the characters, haha... One character I have really specific requirements for is Shipwreck...anything other than his classic toon appearance is gonna be a disappointment for me.

CNR1993, these are nice mock ups!
Are you an Opener or a Display On Card guy? I will say, As an opener, I do like the resealable packing for Classified, Legends, Star Wars Black, etc. I save the boxes in case I need to sell them at some point. If I buy the archive series or the retro packaged SW Black series, I tend to leave them in the package. I admit I would like to see more consistency with the art style on the boxes of Classifed. Most of them are similar enough, but then you have the Duke package that didn't really match with the painted art. Phil Noto did a nice job on the Scarlett box, it would be nice to give him more work. It would be cool to get Dave Dorman back to do one since he did some of the ARAH card art. |

I would too and that's what the customizer community is for. I'm going to buy a one of those Cobra Island Target exclusive a Special Missions Roadblock and commission somebody to put him in a wife beater and the bandana that sports the Operational Camouflage Pattern. The question is do you have the pants match the top or go with the traditional brown pants?

I sorta went a bit nuts a while ago... here are the other ones...
It's what I think hasbro should do in the future. https://flic.kr/s/aHsmVNgDto 1. Re-release actual vintage o-rings from original or redone molds. 2. Make sets of the o-rings. To make it easier to collect. 3. Specialty sets. Action force, dreadnocks, october guard etc. 4. Work with valaverse to bring in The New Action Force. 5. Classified in vintage packaging with re-deco. (same molds though). 6. Army building sets. Ninja/troops/vipers ect... 7. Play set... Like the island from the flagg... or a new gijoe base? ________________________________ Last edited by CNR1993; 05-26-2021 at 08:18 PM.. |

To the question, probably not, it seems Hasbro needs a video game or movie franchise these days for their Joe lines, be great to see the old cartoon line for the Classifieds though, if it does happen, they will be proper exclusives I reckon?
