You’re not going to get Hasbro to demand retailers buy more to get exclusives. Target has more power with Hasbro than the end consumer.
Direct your energy on a more realistic goal — Hasbro make them available on Pulse simultaneously to members. |

I petition all petitions be subject to petition.

As vocal as I am about Hasbro's mismanagement of this line. I feel a petition would yield little results. Now I do enjoy listening to IronKen3000's rants on the subject as he so eloquently illustrates his point. :-)

Was that plentiful near you? I was there to buy that the day it was released and don’t remember seeing it after that day. I had considered myself lucky to have found it.
I wish it had pegwarmed and had gone on clearance. I would have bought another just because it was such a nice set. |

Quadrupling the minimum order for exclusives probably makes them more plentiful than a full production run of a non-exclusive figure.
Even if it didn't, good luck with getting Hasbro to change their "minimum order numbers for exclusives" unilaterally and without any input from their retail partners. PS: How long before they just ditch exclusives altogether after they start pegwarming as bad or worse as that Marvel Legends Storm/Thunderbird 2-pack? Quote:

If you want real change you need to email and petition the executive leadership of companies like Target and Walmart. They are the ones who are deciding how much product gets purchased and decide how it gets distributed. Hasbro just makes what they order. Start emailing Target corporate and sending tons of emails to their CEO and executive leadership teams. Blaming Hasbro will get you no where

Im afraid history is repeating itself and its the 1970's all over again. Oil prices/inflation/democrat POTUS.
Hasbro needs to make toys out of ...something else. |

And then when the next exclusives are less loved? That ends well..
At the end of the day, as Spector Creative points out on YouTube, toy companies really don't want to overproduce. They are dealing with fixed costs based on the volume they produce, and these are ordered in large increments, so deciding "We'll just make 125% of that amount next time because a loud fraction of our customers claim that they'll buy it" doesn't work. They are NOT selling to individuals- They are selling to big box stores, who don't want to suddenly be stuck with pallets and pallets full of Dr. Mindbender and Quick Kick figures when the collector market decides that they aren't completely keen on the "weird Mindbender leg armor deco", or Quick Kick's "too puffy face sculpt", and the new price point of $26-28 is "Just too much for characters I don't really love". There's a reason why the toys that are specifically targeted exclusively to a collector market, which one sees from Japanese companies or sold at BBTS etc. command a much higher MSRP price. (edited for typos, not for content.)
