Sure, here you go. It doesn't fit well, but with a lot of fidgeting, you can get him in a sort of sitting position.
The legs still look a little awkward, because they can't fit in the front compartment due to the mild being what it is. But it's not all bad. It might be better to pop the feet off for a better fit. He can reach the yoke, but needs a slightly turned torso to do so. |

Thanks a ton man!!! That's not too bad a fit. Unfortunately, that Fuselage is too short for my tastes. I'm gonna pass on this one.

Totally agree, it looks pretty bad. In the end, all i can put to good use is the harness and head of the figure.

I had two pre-orders for two FANGs each. Walmart canceled one order of two, but shipped the other order of two. I was initially irritated because I wanted four new FANGs and pilots to blend into my 25th/ROC Cobra army. After opening the two that were shipped, I am glad to only have two, and I won't look to buy two more.
As many have said, the FANG design is too similar to a $5-10.00 generic Walmart action/adventure figure & vehicle set. The pilot isn't terrible, but still seems odd when compared to the original modern retro (really the 25th/POC/ROC figs). I did the careful pressure approach on the elbow bend, and all elbow joints remained unbroken and moveable. So my point is: Walmart saved me $50 on this Retro set (with their practice of canceling pre-orders after the street date).

yeah Walmart cancelled two of my Fang orders. So I had to resort to Ebay for a few extra bucks.
The vehicle itself is serviceable, but the figure is absolute cheap crap, except for the head and the the web gear vest. My figure broke apart cause it was so cheap, the left elbow snapped(the joint was very thin peg) and the crotch seams came apart when twisting the figure at the waist. |

Just got a full case of FANGs from Walmart. Left a full case behind. They are out there so don't feed the scalpers on ebay!

-Figure sucks and comes with complete loose articulation in all joints, especially ankles - his air hose does not stay in the hole in his chest - his helmet just sits on his head and is too big - New vehicle mold sucks bad with 4 screw holes on the left side - vehicle is a bad version of G1 size, proportion and look - Tooling completely sucks - screw holes are where stickers go.. we'll not exactly.. awkward (stickers poorly made also) - Gun on the front only goes up and down, does not navigate on ball rotation - no pin on the back propeller - landing gear material is flimsy and cheap/loose at best - 4 red rockets that go in landing gear do not go in all the way and fall off - No figure pegs on landing gear I can keep going but not worth the time and effort.. If you buy it to be a statue, you could be tremendoysly happy to have it and be reminded of the great F1 version you had in 30 odd years ago.. If you bought it for your kid, it is falling apart after takeoff.. It's not like you can live an adventure of GIJoe vs. Cobra like when we were kids.. because.. you are doing Snake Eyes, Roadblock and Crankcase VS. Hiss Driver, Viper pilot and Destro.. Positives- The Hiss tank is sturdy and durable The Awe Striker is sturdy and durable The Fang is the worst make yet for GIJOE and the guy who developed it, to my knowledge is no longer part of the G.I. Joe Team.. and knowing is half the battle. Last edited by deathvalleymachine; 05-08-2021 at 09:16 PM.. |

I finally saw two but I passed on them both. It is shocking how bad a vehicle this really is.
Having said that there are folks who have a different opinion and I’m glad they like it. |

On a positive note, we did get a really nice FANG with the 25th line in 2008 so there is an alternative out there. I'm not sure what the secondary market prices are for it but we have another choice. It would be a real shame it is was a WHALE or Moray or something where this was our only shot at a new one.
I'll lament the loss of the vintage box but Hasbro altered the box on this one so much that I don't feel like I'm missing out. I'd love to see BeggarsCanyon make unfolded actual vintage accurate boxes that we can assemble our and seal ourselves.
