I was reading the less-than-stellar reviews here on it. Luckily for me, I'm a package collector and don't open them so the crappiness of the toy is inconsequential
Just wanted to give a heads up for someone looking and considering eBay. The other two vehicles I saw a couple times but nothing regular, the HISS more so than the AWE but was able to get my fill at retail. Didn't touch the carded figures. My 25th collection is much more visually pleasing, package-wise. The retro vehicles will make a great addition! |

I don't know anyone would buy it if they knew how bad it was made..
-Figure sucks and comes with complete loose articulation in all joints, especially ankles - his air hose does not stay in the hole in his chest - his helmet just sits on his head and is too big - New vehicle mold sucks bad with 4 screw holes on the left side - vehicle is a bad version of G1 size, proportion and look - Tooling completely sucks - screw holes are where stickers go.. we'll not exactly.. awkward (stickers poorly made also) - Gun on the front only goes up and down, does not navigate on ball rotation - no pin on the back propeller - landing gear material is flimsy and cheap/loose at best - 4 red rockets that go in landing gear do not go in all the way and fall off - No figure pegs on landing gear I can keep going but not worth the time and effort.. If you buy it to be a statue, you could be tremendoysly happy to have it and be reminded of the great F1 version you had in 30 odd years ago.. If you bought it for your kid, it is falling apart after takeoff.. It's not like you can live an adventure of GIJoe vs. Cobra like when we were kids.. because.. you are doing Snake Eyes, Roadblock and Crankcase VS. Hiss Driver, Viper pilot and Destro.. Positives- The Hiss tank is sturdy and durable The Awe Striker is sturdy and durable The Fang is the worst make yet for GIJOE and the guy who developed it, to my knowledge is no longer part of the G.I. Joe Team.. and knowing is half the battle. Agree on the HISS - It's really well done. I may end up buying another one just for adding to my Cobra Hiss ranks. The retro line was kind of a dud for me due to limited distribution - I only ever saw the Hiss and Awe striker on the shelves. Getting another awe striker did not appeal to me but you can never have too many HISS tanks. Last edited by HitandRun; 05-09-2021 at 08:18 AM.. |

Got my 2 I pre pre order and found served in store. Aside from the shorted rail section I do like for some reason. I have 2 sticker up. Are they perfect? Ha, ha! No but they don’t look too bad.

Yeah, honestly, at $15.00 it'd be a nice toy, but not so much at $25. Sometimes, it's about perceived value more than anything else. Fans would still bitch, of course, but the it'd be less warranted at 15 bux.

I have to say that I like the design of the legs on the Cobra Pilot with the new articulation added. It’s just the execution that is so terrible. It is one step above a new sculpt figure

I paid $34.99 Canadian at Walmart for the Fang, highest price out of the 3 vehicles.
