Finally its not just a reused mold, its new. This one more bulky than the 1983 and 2008. The gyrocopter pilot got more articulation, swivel thighs and legs, new head and helmet. I like this one and planning to get more in my display..

Thank you for posting these comparison pictures.
Especially interesting that these are manufactured in Vietnam now, instead of China. Knowing that does much to explain the necessity of new tooling for both the action figure and the vehicle. These new factory workers will have to perfect their skills so that the articulation joints work smoothly, and so that the arms don't break off when moved. I hope they will learn quickly.

Thanks for posting this! I wasn't expecting the new FANG to be larger than the 25th...now I am rethinking getting one of these!

Thanks for posting. Do the thighs actually swivel? It looks like there is a seam, but it has not moved from picture to picture.
Also, is there any torso articulation? Is there any waist articulation?

Thanks for the pics, I will be picking this up now for sure. The FANG was my first ever Cobra vehicle.

That's disappointing if a lot of the POC/30th/Ren/Resolute/Ret/50th tooling is not available anymore. Hopefully, it wasn't destroyed. The people from BFS designed most of that stuff. That was ME, 4" Joes in its prime, and now we get this inferior look and build.
Seems like such a waste to let all of that tooling go. Maybe I'm wrong, but I think that the Wave 3 Retro figures (Cobra Commander, Lady Jaye, and Duke) all still being manufactured in China. The same is probably true of the Classified line of larger figures, at least for the moment. I agree with you, that it's sad to think that all of those tools could be lost or destroyed in the near future. I wonder if any of those tools will be stolen from Hasbro after they end Chinese production entirely (if such an option to move that much of the production is even possible).
