Well, I did it. I ordered a set.
I only have a couple of Black Major figures currently, and am often just plain mystified by his color and theme choices, but I think all of these look great. |

Ordered a set, and I have a feeling I'll be ordering a bunch more. I'm a sucker for the more outlandish of subsets, like Python Patrol and Tiger Force, and the Worms mold lends itself perfectly to those designs. Black Major is getting better and better as years go by. He's single handedly reignited my interest in ARAH figures a couple of years ago, after dabbling in ME era fiugres for about a decade. I look forward to future assortments and figures.

Do you have to order the whole set or can you just get it one?

Here is my issue with Black Major, and I'm only talking about eBay, not Instagram. His figures used to be widely available for $10 each, then $12, then $14. Now? It seems like the starting price is $25-$30 and goes up, sometimes dramatically, from there. To me, these figures are not better than Star Wars vintage collection ($12.99), or Black series ($20), or GI Joe Classified ($20). Heck, even the new Retro Scarlett is a better figure ($12.83). Of course this assumes you can actually find any of these at retail. But still, my overall point is that the price has risen quite a bit, and becomes a touch pill to swallow in comparison to other figures on the market.
(Side note, I do give credit to eBay seller Evolvingdoor, who has managed to keep his Black major figures under $20, although he only offers a very limited selection).

For the pre-order sale (which I believe ends today), you have to buy the whole set. The ETA is March 30th. After that, I assume the people who bought multiple sets to resell will break them out and put them on eBay with some markup per figure.

The riot shields are nice. I kept those for myself and gave them to some Alley Vipers. |

BM will start selling individuals after he ships the presale units but certain colors sell quicker than others or his inventory is not as plentiful.
I'll probably order more of the desert colors to go with my desert viper army and strato viper colors for my Cobra air force. |
