while it was nice to get Storm Shadow and Shipwreck, thing is that they were Dollar General exclusives and/or you had to try to get them off of amazon.
That was Hasbro's fault where if you wanted that Storm Shadow figure you had to pretty much go to a Dollar General store to find it. What they should have done is release that Storm Shadow figure along with the other figures in the Pursuit of Cobra or 30th Annivesrary wave a few years ago. Thats my opinion |

Yes, to get figures sold to Dollar General you had to go to Dollar General or buy them on the secondary market, just like any toy released exclusively to a specific retailer.
As a basic repaint assortment intended to create a low cost entry to consumers to the brand they were fine as Dollar General exclusives. They only existed because Dollar General was willing to buy them and were never developed to be part of the main line. |

Dollar General exclusives were waaaaayyyyy easier to obtain than Target or even Walmart exclusives in my experiences.

I loved looking for and buying these. To this day I still have an urge to look for them in the toy section when I go into a DG.
I think they should continue with this format. I would definitely buy them. |

I LOVED the Dollar General line. The price was great, and I found plenty of figures at almost every Dollar General I came upon.
I agree that they should bring the DG line back. Nothing fulfilled my Joe fix quite like it. |

I know it's crazy but everytime I go into a DG I still hope to find those figures. I search high and low. I just know there is one somewhere out there still in the wild at maybe a remote store far far away.

I loved the DG line so much... I used to travel for work and could hit a dozen DGs in a day. I’m still burning through custom fodder I acquired from there
I always check the toy and clearance sections when I go there... I snagged two green SNake Eyes in a clearance box about two years ago.

I only found the DG Joes once and that was a random happenstance that I went to a DG. I NEVER go to DG because I have other places more convenient and somehow I missed that these were even coming out.
I picked up a Snake Eyes and have been super happy with him. Could be that I like this version of Snake Eyes from childhood though. |
