while it was nice to get Storm Shadow and Shipwreck, thing is that they were Dollar General exclusives and/or you had to try to get them off of amazon.
That was Hasbro's fault where if you wanted that Storm Shadow figure you had to pretty much go to a Dollar General store to find it. What they should have done is release that Storm Shadow figure along with the other figures in the Pursuit of Cobra or 30th Annivesrary wave a few years ago. Thats my opinion Jason |

I have quite a few. Storm Shadow, Snake Eyes, and the black trooper were my favorite but have multiples of each. Got like 50 of them. Helped that they also showed up at the xmas tree stores. That blue trooper is my go to cobra infantry trooper.

We could have had a light grey CT for a Stinger driver, a SW with a white shirt and blue pants, and many other color repaints. I contest that the 2 DG waves were better than the current Retro waves.

The DG line was pretty cool. I’m glad they did it.

The DG line was brilliant. Those were some wonderful repaints made available for a low price. I always found it laughable that Hasbro's managers made a statement saying that line was a "mistake" and they never would've approved those figure choices for Dollar General but it slipped under their radar. Hasbro did something good and of all the things they've done THAT'S what they try to disavow. LOL

Just wish that they would do this again. I wouldn't mind if they just repainted the same wave of characters. Red Trooper, Red Commander, Camo Stormy, Grey Snakes, Orange Shipwreck, All black Duke. Not even kidding.

Dollar General Ninja Storm Storm Shadow is still great but Hasbro could have spent a little more time on it such as giving the figure an all white scythe weapon. they could have at least done a better job on the torso to make it more accurate to look the same as the old Ninja Storm Storm Shadow.
that and do a better job at Paintball motorbike Snake Eyes giving him better poseable arms and an uzi and sword |

I agree that the Dollar General line was great. Duke is basically the Short Fuze we didn't get in the main line. Cobra Commander benefited greatly from the arms/legs used on this mold. We finally got a Ninja Force Storm Shadow with articulation. A great version of "Devils Due" Shipwreck with accurate long sleeves. Snake-Eyes was a bit puffy and the Trooper didn't do much for me but they were alright. And these were done by a team that was supposedly outside the main Joe team and were better than the movie line that was in all the "big" retailers.
And yeah, Dollar General is everywhere in Oklahoma. They supposedly were going to open around nine hundred new locations in the U.S. last year. And they tend to hit the towns that are considered way too small/poor for even Walmart. And they carry just enough "essentials" like food/snacks, office/school supplies, hardware, pets, etc... type stuff to prevent people in those small towns from needing to bother going to Walmart nearly as often. Infiltrating small towns is why Walmart was able to kill so many other stores and now that they have abandoned small towns Dollar General is sapping Walmart money. +-MWG-+ |

yeah the Dollar General Snake Eyes in his 1990s paintball motor cross outit is a little puffy but its the arms though.
Ninja Force Storm Shadow i still like it and enjoy it but a little bit of it isnt totally accurate/same as the old figure. Missing a few details on the outfit. Plus Dollar General Ninja Force Storm Shadow didnt include an all white scythe weapon or even a white sword. |

My sentiments exactly. These were the easiest store exclusive to obtain I’ve ever seen. I still glance in the toy aisle at DG hoping for them to find that last case of figures hidden in the stock room. A couple years after they ended I found several figures that they must’ve found in the back and they put them out. The price was awesome as well.
