Who is your favorite Joe driver, Pilot?
As a kid, Clutch was the master of the Motorpool. If something had tires or tracks, he could operate and fix it. Wild Bill was the same for aircraft. Fixed wing or rotor. Cutter kept the naval forces in business. |

There are too many to settle on just one, and not being as concerned with the mythos as most, my choices are purely based on how much I liked the figure.
Backstop and Windmill take the top spot for pure nostalgia, they both take me back to a particularly good Christmas. Sgt. Slaughter because, well, Sgt. Slaughter. Lift ticket, Cutter, and Thunder because of the rigs they operate. I'm assuming that we're not including Cobra here, of course. That list would be huge.

Ace. Closely followed by Lift-Ticket and Slip-Stream.

As a figure, probably Crankcase or Keel Haul
As a character, Clutch, I guess. There's only a few drivers/pilots that had much characterization in media. |

I'm going with Crankcase. He was one of my favourite figures. He looked like an angry Brit you didn't want to mess with, had a cool rifle, and drove one of the greatest vehicles in the entire line.

Cobras for me, I'd go with Copperhead as an individual character, and the HISS Driver as "faceless horde" type trooper.

Based on the vehicles I had as a kid, I would go with Wild Bill and Cutter.
I really like the Killer WHALE as it reminds me of a vehicle/playset in the same mode as the SW Millennium Falcon. Plus, I think Cutter being the only Coast Guardsman makes him a unique member of the team. Wild Bill got substantial exposure in the comics and cartoon, and in his first appearance in the Pipleline Ploy he even participates in a quick shootout/draw. So, you gotta love that! Jason |

Driver: Cover Girl. A beautiful woman that can fix your car? What's there not to love? They killed her in Rise of Cobra, and the comics now use her in other roles, but she'll always be a driver to me.
Pilot: Ace. G.I.Joe #34. 'nuff said! |
