I had Incinerator as a kid and loved him. His flamethrower gun and Mold were all new parts. Why did hasbro not show him any love and ever remake him, but did 4 blowtorches?...
Anyone else a fan of him? Last edited by Rangeviper88; 04-28-2016 at 11:35 PM.. |

Good question.. there are still several figures that were never made. Of course we now know why we got so many repaints compared to new figures. Mark Weber answered that when questioned about the last 50th wave and the number of repaints we got.
Plain and simple.. to keep within there alloted budget, they have to split between half repaints or kitbashes such as Spirit and the other new tooled figures. Last time he was asked about the other concept case figures, he mentioned that he plans to get the Laser Viper released. Then we hear there is no new product coming out for the rest of this year while they restructure. This doesn't mean he isn't a man of his word, but to just expect delays. I am hoping we also get the ver.2 Rock N Roll, Official Tan Clutch and the Stinger driver as well.. considering only one of those is just a repaint.. I dont expect to see all of them released in one wave.

Love the Incinerators. Their flamethrower was one of the coolest accessories of the line (and Hasbro apparently agreed as it got heavy rotation on the Battle Corps sprues). But he would've been a lot of new tooling and was a late-ARAH figure so wasn't a higher priority.

An old thread, but still meaningful...
Yes, I like the Cobra Incinerators. Waited forever for the G.I. Joe Collector’s Club to make them… and that got me nowhere. If Hasbro should ever make these, I hope they try to capture that vintage look if possible.

I was pretty shocked the Club never did them. I felt like there were definitely parts for a passable version out there, though it wouldn't have been completely accurate to the ARAH version. I guess maybe if the Club had gotten one more year he could have been the "troop builder" for the FSS.
I was also a big fan of the Incinerators. |

I definitely got an Incinerator as a child, but he never did really get a lot of play. Here's the thing though, I'm one of those poor fools that automatically loves a Cobra if they put the word "Viper" at the end of their name. I think I wasn't a fan because he wasn't a Viper. Had they named him Inferno-Viper, Flame-Viper, or something of that nature, I bet he would've been one of my favorites.

That looks good, Playful. Clever idea. I’ll probably copy it in whole or part.
