Released in March 2024 as part of a new deluxe assortment commemorating G.I. Joe's 60th anniversary celebration, the Action Soldier Infantry pays homage to the classic version of the original 12" Army toy from the 1960s. This time the figure is in the 6" scale and updated with modern aesthetics with all of the sculpt details, super articulation and accessory loadouts that collectors have come to expect and appreciate in the Classified series. The Action Soldier is a nice figure which re-uses the Stalker torso and arms and Rock N' Roll's legs. He comes packed to the gills with loads of weapons and accessories, some being new and some being re-use. The modular tactical vest features a ton of removable pouches and clips which adds to the playability and display options for the figure and gives fans more troop-building variety as well.
The Action Soldier Infantry comes absolutely packed to the gills with the following weapons, gear and accessories: a removable soft-goods camouflage poncho, a removable hood, a removable neckerchief/scarf, a backpack, an M2 Browning .50 caliber machine gun (aka "Ma Deuce") with a removable tripod stand, (2) removable trigger handles for the M2 (one for double grip, one for single grip), an ammo belt, a helmet, a machine gun with removable ammo clip, a radio communicator aka "walkie talkie" (which can be plugged into the back of his belt or on his vest), an alternate head, (2) alternate hands, a knife, a rifle with removable ammo box, (5) removable pouches (which are modular and can be configured many ways), a pistol, a set of dog tags and a stand. Using the poll options, rate the figure on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being a total miss and a 10 being plastic perfection, based on what you feel the figure deserves. Ratings should take overall design, sculpt, paint apps and paint deco, accessories and articulation into consideration. Thanks for voting and Yooo Joe!!! Would've liked exposed faces more I think plus the Snake rifle is just ok but the poncho is cool. I'll go 8 for this one.

A really good figure packed with a ton! Not quite as enthused about this one as I am with the Sailor, but I still gave him a solid 8. I gave a lot of his gear to Dusty for more loadout options.
Anyone else on here have kneepads with a weird and extra shiny finish? Looks a little out of place considering everything else has a dull, matte finish. It didn't factor into my score though.

Thanks! I've got a bottle of Citadel Technical Stormshield (dull coat) I'm going to use on him. Might repaint the kneepads first with another coat of brown though before I do because looking at them again right now, it almost looks as though the brown paint on the kneepads from the factory was really thin when it was applied or only one coat was used.

I gave him a 9
Mine also had shiny knee pads which looked off but an easy fix . I also was more excited for the sailor/diver than this guy he looks good . But both of their hips are loose just the left one on each . Otherwise no complaints happy to see/have new product It looks like docs vest etc on r&r’s body it still works and im fine with the figure as a whole

7 out of 10
Like all the stuff he comes with but hes also kinda boring. Or maybe generic is a better word to describe how I feel about this figure. Good troop-builder material.

I gave him an 8. it's a good figure but I've been using him and the action sailor as more gear packs for other figures. I am excited for the action pilot and marine to see what they come with. I am hoping the pilot comes with a parachute

6.5 so 6 in the poll.
He's fine, but I really don't like the plug ins on the vest. One refuses to plug in anywhere and the others do plug in but i can't get them to sit entirefly flush against the vest. I'd leave them off but then there would be visible holes on the front of him. Just doesn't work for me at this scale. I also wish he came with an M4 instead of the weird double barreled rifle we got with Big Ben. Poncho will go in a box and be forgotten about.

Except he's $10 over the standard figure which makes him not a great troop builder. I troop built him because of the mispricing, but I think having it in hand, I would've preferred a more stripped down release that was just an easy troop builder like Grunt.
