Can anyone confirm whether or not these vehicles are compatible with Modern-era or RAH GI Joe. Can you show pics?

I used to be a Maisto collectors. I don't think the Hummers or any 1/18 models are compatible with the modern era joes. It'll be extremely tight and you'll run the risk of scratching the figures paints or breaking the steering wheel off trying to fit the joe in. It would be cool if it was compatible. There's a new hummer coming out in 2010 and Maisto already made the models. It's called HX. It's very sharp!!!

No, DEFINITELY NOT, compatible. I bought the plain green one, thinking it would be cool, but no figure would fit inside; undeterred, I modified it by moving the seat down and back, but still the figure's feat wouldn't fit, so I had to take out the pedals, and eventually, I had to make an opening in the floor for them to just stick out slightly. To do so, I had to get rid of the whole steering column (not to mention modifying the door to come off, just so I could get a figure in anyway), so now the wheels are so incredibly loose, they turn sharply to either direction to intensely the vehicle grinds to a halt whenever you try to move it forward.
I hope you don't go the same route I did thinking it could be made to work. They really, really don't want to be compatible. |
