The current plan is full speed ahead on the movie line, but to continue to find ways to bring in classic GI Joe characters and vehicles into the new fantasy. would you collect or stop collecting gi joe?

It’s hard for me to say at this point. I really do like the updated look to old favorites. But I liked those old favorites because of how they looked.

Let's hope they are actual playsets when they say that, and not just something like the Flak or Twin Battle Gun.
But yes, I've never bought so many Joe figures before. Tons of Cobra I have, but never any Joes, til the movie line! |

Hands down yes, I would collect the ROC line if it was the only one. I mean, the figures/vehicles I wanted, but that's not unlike the 25th Joes.

NO. I haven't spent a penny on the roc stuff and I most likely never will. The 25th figures is what brought me back into collecting and that's all I will collect

Hands down no...
I think this question is AWESOME because it goes w/ a theory I have: I think there are two types of toy collectors (esp in the Joe and TF fandoms): Type A loves the franchise, and is open to buying, watching, reading, etc new expressions of that franchise. In Joedom, these are the people who floated from ARAH, through VvV and kept right on collecting Sigma 6. They're down with ROC for keeping the franchise alive and think new visions of the charaters is a breath of fresh air. In TFdom, these are the people who went from G1, loved Beast Wars and found some love for the Unicron Trilogy. They like the movies for being something new and different that's greatly extended the franchise's popularity. Type B is a nostalgia-based collector and loves representations of the line they grew up with. In Joedom, these are the fans who lost interest with VvV, never got into Sigma 6 and boo-hoo ROC for making Ripcord and African American, etc. In the TFdom, these are the Geewuners balking "truck not monkey!!!" I didn't collect Joes or TFs for about 20 years, but got back in with the 25th and Classics/Universe lines. I'm pretty clearly a Type B collector, so I would stop collecting Joe toys 99% if ROC was the only thing out there. EDIT: just read Monkeywrench's reply above, and looks like he's Type B, too.
