Not to mention the fact you can just download and print out classic cards for ARAH characters in RoC packaging.

Yeah they are not worth keeping in the box or keeping the boxes, or the file cards for that matter. Saves me more money instead of having to have a super nice one on its card backing to hang on the collection wall with my other 25th/modenr figures and buying a second to open (all are just opened now). These guys will get thier own display case as offshoot ideaology variant universe that came and went with the ROC movie. Don't need thier file cards, most of all of the cobra ones read that they all prefer the same weapon even though they do not even come with it in most cases... LOL. No point in reading thier file cards, just open em, display or play with them and then recycle the boxes!

Most kids these days are on the computer most of the time anyway. If they care enough about it they'll find it.

Is it really that hard for you to comprehend that some people may actually like the RoC stuff because of it's quality and not because "hasbro spoon feeds them"?
Seriously, that's just a ridiculous statement. I defend the RoC toys because I think they are every bit as good (and in some cases better, and in some cases worse) then the 25th/ME Joes. The articulation is there, paint apps, everything that made me love the 25th/ME Joes is there. RoC is a welcome addition to my Joeverse. Just like the 25th/ME line there are some figures I can't stand in RoC, and just like the 25th/ME line there are some figures that I won't buy. The nice thing is that I still have all the fond memories of the original ARAH toys that I grew up with. They're as untouched, unchanged and unaffected now as they were the day I bought my first 25th Joe. I can't stand the cartoon now. I got the whole series and tried watching it. Couldn't stand it. It was horrible. But guess what, my memories of rushing home and turning the TV on to catch the latest episode.. still there and still as fond a memory as it always was. Well said, I agree with all these points. Its a task to sit down and watch the 80's stuff, matter of fact I cant. But its still special to me and its what makes me connect to Resolute, ROC, etc |

I love every episode and even the Cartoon GI JOE movie...the intro of the movie is so freaking badass all of those battles going on all around the Statue of liberty..that is the punch I wanted to see with ROC somthing guteral and that blew up the big screen Joe style!

Thats why I said just open em up and not worry with the file card or the boxes either. And if ya don't like the way they look start mixing parts together with all of the figures till you find a combo you like. I am glad they are not some newer figures with incompatiable parts. These are so easy to customize and make em the way you want and a lot of those swaps do not require painting either, it is a customizing buffet everyone should experince or at least try!

I basically count as a kid. I'm one of the Tank's younger members,
and how old are you? You and all the other adults who buy toys who want the same stuff 25+ years later. it's not about wanting the same stuff. maybe it's about wanting something similar to the stuff I had 25 years ago, but opened and threw away the package and cannot afford the originals today... First off I enjoy the fact that people collect action figures. It's a great thing. Quote:
As i stated in my similar post, the price is the "big no" for me. I have not and will not buy any until they hit the super dirt cheap bargin bins. And yes, i have not been a fan of the marketing tactics of cafateria style minimizing and recycling that have been using ever since wave 2 or so of the 25th collection. At first i laughed it off as a jab from the old line. But then i realised that cheap cutting corners and giving just enough to keep on the hook tactics are being employed. Hell they even seem to encourage the balck market with the 1 in 3 variant stuff. Sure i kept biting, but now the food is changed colors and smell and i ain't going for it. Not until a pile of this crap is sitting in a big lots or ross, or until target liquidates everything for 60 percent off. Oh and don't give me the marketing 101 stuff, i understand the motives and reasons. Doesn't mean i gotta like them, and I'll stick to my guns until something changes my mind. I am glad they are trying, just the mentality of "me, me...and to hell with everyone else" permiates sooo many things these days. Just read any of the posts on here when they talk of minimum wage workers. the belief of only what i need to do, that ain't my job, or just plain selfish envey crap. No pride in your works, just cookie cutting. My point is art should be timeless, not for just profit sake. The new stuff and the method of creation seems well done to a point. It's like haveing a grand idea and halfway through you get bored and leave it to the gimp to finish. Sure he has all the tools and notes, but not the love. COBRA!
Link to that please.

To me File cards for GI Joes and Tech Specs for Transformers are important.
