Ok so what do you think of your pit? Not your arm pitts silly! Your Mobile Command Center Pit! I got money burning in my pocket to get one but the cardboard parts are really turning me off to it. Do they take away from it or does it still have good internal details and feel like a GI JOE base?
I wanna get one especially for Hawk, but if it is not useful as a base scene (I wanna take it totally apart and use the top parts as base shells for display purposes) but if it is all carboard and sloppy looking I just can't justify it right now until maybe they get down under $50.00. Just don't wanna end up with a cardboard totting Winnebago! Thoughts? Rate on!

I would seriously wait. There is no doubt it will become clearance fodder. Buy more figs or buy something else, but don't waste $100 on something that is pretty much guaranteed to go on clearance.
Hell, it may even go on sale for $75 in the next month for movie promotions. |

i'm a fan. i think the pitt is the joe answer to the millennium falcon from the star wars line. now, for the mf, i was able to hold out and get it on clearance. for joe figures, though, i wasn't taking the risk of missing out.
the cardboard parts are disappointing, but it comes with plastic ping pong paddles and a travel coffee mug for crying out loud. things that awesome don't come by every day. if you're on the fence, check out the picture on the back of the pitt box. if that doesn't sell you, then hold out. i obviously went the other way on that decision. |

I think it is great. The cardboard pieces are merely supplemental and only add. It would be worse if they used more of it. It is a great base, full of detail; hell it even comes with a tiny GI Joe coffee mug. I do not really care for it as a vehicle and always plan to display it opened up. The decals are a major bitch, I am still not done with those.
It is by far and away my favorite item so far from ROC. A lot of thought went into it. Worth the price tag in my opinion. |

Some people pay big bucks for the old bases made of cardboard. Hasbro is giving the people what the want.

The cardboard pieces are few. The ping pong table and a few rock decals. My wife is helping me sticker it now, well we are on a break. Its 5 or 6 pages of stickers. Its a fun toy and i bought it to show hasbro big GI Joe items can sell and they want go straight to clearance.

I have a pit in my basement. I sometimes lower a bucket containing a bottle of lotion into it.

I love it. Yeah, it probably WILL hit clearance eventually...but I do not regret for one second having plopped down the cash for it.
