Silly you, it's not being used as a "credible source"... it only offers additional information to those who wonder what this magazine is about.

The actual link to the specific magazine article offers more information about Barbie than most people would ever want to know.

There's also an episode of "The Toys that Made Us" which does the same. (smile)

Anyway, back to the article and the comment about the author not knowing what she's talking about, I think it's a safe bet a woman who has a PHD and years of practical experience knows what she chooses to write about.
