We need to keep in mind that Hascon will be just MONTHS before the anticipated launch of the new GI Joe film. I hold NO expectations that Hasbro will follow the same design systems they have for the past TEN YEARS (remember, the ARAH design elements were over TWENTY years old when Hasbro completely ditched them in favor of the ME designs). I'm assuming Hasbro's going to send production work to India and Vietnam, so Hasbro doesn't have an overt reason to maintain using the existing assets that are all in China. I'm betting IF GI Joe gets any exclusive next year...it's going to be a "preview" for the next GI Joe line launching with the next movie.

i would think they would do a vehicle and stay away from anything figured related that required a lot of effort and or retooling. not to say they would be lazy with it but something like that takes a lot of time for an item thats going to have such a super low run and expense to a customer.
i'd seen a joecon 2018 interview with Derryl where he was asked if hasbro would continue with something along the lines of an fss and he flat out said no for the reason i said above. he said anything they do in regards to figures would be for a main line retail release because its more cost effective that way. so having said that a hascon exclusive should be a re-issue or re-paint of something they already have. as long as they dont apply club prices to these things they would sell a ton of them. the canada exclusive stuff would be super easy and cost effect since the molds have all be used in the modern era and its a cost saving one color, black. to me, its a no brainer and gets something out there we dont have. i seriously doubt they would do a vehicle that hasnt been done before due to the cost again of doing up some tooling for such a low run unless it would be used as a repaint and reissue down the line but really what vehicle is left that hasnt been done by hasbro or the club. now that the club is gone and their stuff goes for crazy money on evilbay i wouldnt mind hasbro doing a re-issue of say the tiger hawk for example but done as a main line release. i'd buy two and i hate tiger force. For a more ambitious exclusive, i’d like to see the APC retooled for modern figures; throw a driver like Steamroller or Rumbler in with it! |

I think you guys are smoking some good stuff if you think Hasbro is going to commit resources to brand new vehicles or figures for a convention release when we can't even get toys at retail.

They'll probably reveal their latest Haslab plan.

Yeah I’m thinking the same thing. The Haslab project seems less risky for them as they won’t go into production without the funds upfront. That might be the only way to get any classic ARAH Joe items. Also the HasLab project seems to be geared specifically towards collectors like us rather than general retail so I’d think this is our only shot at something for our Joe shelf.

that would require tooling. those things were lame and didnt sell.
im sure that metal for tooling got recycled the year after they were made.plus wind up stuff would cost to much for them to make. anything they do would have to be from molds they already have and can just do a color change on. everything needs to be cost effective because its going to be a low run. now if they want to haslab something for the event im down for that |

good call, id be down for some gliders!

I’d love to see the Viper & Falcon gliders redone for the modern era! Only one piece needs to be retooled because of the different sized back peg & the rest is mostly styrofoam. Take a 50th Cobra Trooper, slap a silver logo on him and done with the Cobra side! Since the club has already done tan Grunt, they could include a modern Falcon figure, in ARAH accurate color scheme, with the Falcon glider!
For a more ambitious exclusive, i’d like to see the APC retooled for modern figures; throw a driver like Steamroller or Rumbler in with it! |

what vehicles are your referring to? ones they dont already have molds for? the canadian stuff has already been done in modern form. all they have to do is produce them in black. would be super easy and cheap

They should bring back the 1984 collectors case, re-tooled to fit the ME figures. It should come with an ARAH style Duke (50th Flint body with 50th Duke head), and an Ultimate Scarlet (resolute Scarlet with no knee pads, and a new ARAH style head sculpt). Maybe throw in a few POC/30th/50th CT's with non-Caucasian skin color for the attendee bonus set. I'd probably want at least 3 of them.
Y'know, another set I'd love to see done with modern sculpts is the TRU-exclusive Anti-Venom Task Force...they've done all of those particular characters in modern form, haven't they? Well, except for Duke maybe and that particular version of Roadblock, but I'd imagine they'd be easy to cobble together, oh and Stretcher, also, but I'm sure there's ways to re-invent him too with modern parts... There's a ton of GvsC/Spy Troops/VvsV-era figures I'd like to see re-done with the more recent sculpts. There were alot of great designs with tons of potential but relative weak execution.

Probably a Sunbow color scheme Snake Eyes variant of their six-inch figure from the GI Joe Black Series they're announcing at SDCC in 2018.*
*this is a joke(probably) |
