I've gotten three so far and they really do look a lot better in person.

Although I'm sure I am in the minority, the Delta 6 Accelerator figures are nicely sculpted and proportioned figures.

I never said I would not buy these figures. I actually thought I probably would buy some, but I saw them and I passed. I thought they looked good, but they just didn't do anything for me. I think it is the absence of the classic looking packaging that made me pass.

I see it differently, I use to be a compliteist until Wave 12 of Moderen Era. Buying one figure doesn't really make a difference but I understand what you're saying. I too fear that the ROC line does so well it becomes the default G.I. Joe brand. I still want to see certain characters from the 80s in 25th/Moderen Era packaging for nostalgic reasons.

I HATE hate HATE hate the "blue camo" for the Joes. It goes with nothing and is ugly. I am avoiding ALL of those figures.
Except the PIT Commando. He's pretty neat for the gear. Elite Viper = Awesome New EEL = Awesome Flash = Good custom possibility. Single-Card Firefly = Pretty neat.

Some head sculpts are VERY lazy(turtle viper, movie Eel...Ice viper...SE...CC...etc...) and look rushed.
MARS 3 pack dudes have that squishy looking padded crud, weapons are not even funny. Most characters are off the wall. I planned on passing and I'm still passing, besides the prices on these things are not worth what you get IMO. Don't get me wrong, I got money to spend...but not on this. Hope the kids like it.

I'm pretty pleased with the Snake Eyes, Storm Shadow, Destro and Desert Duke I found the other day. "Armadillo" and Thunder a bit underwhelming. As were the other overpriced small vehicles I passed up.
I really enjoy that the 4 carded figures are entirely new sculpts. It's been awhile, right? Aside from a few randomly placed inividual figures, it's been more like forever! I really like their construction. Each figure has at least a full 90 degrees of elbow motion, and Snake Eyes' knees bend entirely back, as far as the 5 pack Lady Jaye. Destro and Storm Shadow are unique in that their necks and collars are separate pieces from the torsos. Quick Rundown: Snake Eyes: Cool take on his v2 look. Visor is a neat touch, sword actually stores on his strap or backpack, pants don't look like "slacks" like in the film. StormShadow: Hindered hips, but other versions are coming, otherwise pretty nice! Claw is hard to keep on. Destro: Just like the early images. don't dig the weapons. Duke: One of the very best likenesses ever done in this scale. Better than any human Star Wars figure. So very realistically styled and proportioned, and his pistol and crystal can fit in the backpack. I've always believed the film would be disappointing, but even the toughest critic should find a few things they like. I'm actually pretty disappointed now that the vintage style figures coming are all recycled from 25th parts, since these are all built so well. |

I mostly want some of the figures for different reasons then to collect the line. I just want the ones who can fit well in my modern era/25th collection. So here's my list:
SNAKE-EYES - I want him simply because well...he's snake-eyes. And it doesn't hurt that he shares the same body as the Resolute version (which is just awesome) WET-DOWN - I need the mask to complete my wetsuit. EEL - The target exclusive one. Basically a 25th EEL in all black gear. I'll paint that neon green to red or blue, don't know yet FLASH - He looks cool enough to be a cobra trooper, just not Flash BARONESS - I dig the removable sunglasses...oh yah and the 'nice shoes' she comes with PARA-VIPER - Modern repaint nuff said... PIT COMMANDO - He basically looks like an urban combat figure to me. Shockwave can lead them into battle against my alley vipers. Plus all that gear is a big bonus. |

OH GAWD
The pressure it's like high school all over again and having that "talk" with my parents Oh wait-you're referring to the toys. Haven't seen any yet. The only thing I am interested in is the SUV. I think that's the Steel Crusher?? |
