So I'm a little behind on my bills and the wife wants me to "get rid of my joes," so I contacted BBTS to see about them buying my remaining collection. Has anyone here sold to BBTS in the past? I received an offer, but have to provide my own shipping I'm also a little reluctant, because I would rather use the money to purchase a reward rather then pay a bill. Which is probably why I'm in this spot in the first place. Let me know if you guys have any insight.

All I gotta say is I love GI Joe but if I can't pay bills Joe is the first thing cut from my budget... That's why I haven't been able to buy any 30th Joes yet... And I know that they are on the pegs right down the street... Hard to resist but gotta handle your business first... I would hate to sell mine too but you gotta do what you gotta do.

That sucks man.
Have you contacted the other online stores? Maybe see if someone else can give you a better offer? |

is the offer that was made going to pay a bill? or if after selling will you still need to raise additional money?
example 500 in bills BBTS offer 200 bill fund is -300 meaning if after you send your plastic to BBTS...you still have to get creative with acquiring the necessary cash? if so...why sell? whatever you would have to do to raise the money...just do more of...or for longer to make up the offer that BBTS would have otherwise paid and let's be honest shipping isn't cheap...and if you can afford to pay for shipping x amount of weight in plastic to Joel...they surely that is money saved towards bills to begin with. I know i'm not making this easier...i don't think that was my intention though...simply providing some insight can at times make things worse. |

I've considered selling allot of my extra figures to bbts also. If anyone on the tank has, I'd be interested to see if they were satisfied with how everything panned out.

Make an epic BST thread with pics and try to sell here first. Youll make more cash. Once you're left with shitty stuff no one wants, then take some cash from BBTS. Remember, they have to make profit so theyll never offer you what an en user would. ebay is also a great way to make an extra $. Alot of collectors on there that arent on here.

Bills first. Depending on your situation, sell as little as you have to. But yeah, you gotta take care of that stuff first. Sorry to hear it.

I sold my entire 25th collection in waves last year and made a shit load of money. I literally made a couple thousand dollars and I don't regret it a bit. I was able to pay the bills I needed, get some extra, and I didn't feel bad only having a partial collection. I couldn't just sell enough to get my bills paid. It was all or nothing otherwise I would have tried to build it back up again and be back in the same shitty position.

Just pay your damn bills. Avoid buying new JOES in the meantime. I cut out purchases ever since my roomy moved out. Don't sell your shit to pay your bills and then not pay your bills. It's shit like this is how people end up losing their homes etc. Or you could get a part time job dropping fries or working the register. Not the most ideal situation but if you have a fam to support you gotta knuckle down playboy.
