I've never understood why Hasbro can't do this stuff without
messing with articulation. I mean I guess I see their point with all the 'cool' features and button stuff like ultimate bumblebee but I think that blew for kind of the same reason. I mean when something that big and pricey, can't hold any kind of pose or even have it's elbows bent, someone somewhere at Hasbro should be raising their hand and asking why they can't do all the lights and sound, mouth moving stuff for a 12 inch POSEABLE joe that DOESN'T look like a crackhead in the ways that the rest of their 12 inch movie line currently does. Anyone remember when Jeff Goldblum's character in Jurrasic Park was talking to the Old man at Lunch or whatever? When he said: "You were so concerned with whether or not you Could, you didn't even stop to think if you Should. And before you even knew what you had, you were selling it." I think Hasbro's got a problem with that when it comes to this stuff. Toys are meant to be played with. You're not supposed to push a button and watch the thing play with itself for a few seconds before having to push a button again. I'd of liked it more if it was like buzz lightyear and did have buttons in various places for different sounds and was more like a normal 1:6 as far as articulation goes. I like the majority of the Rise of Cobra stuff. Hell I just finished the novel and dug the crap out of it...not feeling this at all though. |
