Excluding the two Resolute Duke figures, what's your favorite 25th Anniversary/Modern Era Duke figure?
Links to each, for reference: v23 - G.I. Joe battle pack 1 version v24 - Comic pack issue 24 version v25 - SRO set version v26 - 2008 wave 3 version v27 - Comic pack issue 6 version v28 - Modern Era Tiger Force version v29 - Best of the 80s DVD set version v31 - Greatest Battles DVD set version Tiger Force Duke's by far my favorite of the lot. I love the color scheme (except for the red shirt collar, but that's a very simple fix), and the accessories are great updates of the original Tiger Force Duke's accessories. V23's a distant second. It'd be a lot closer if its accessories were true to the '83 figure's, and if it had Tiger Force Duke's arms. Last edited by Jonathan; 06-09-2009 at 09:44 PM.. |

if version 23 had better arms and not such a baby face that would have been my vote. I went with the TF one because of the better arms and the correct gear. His SMG is badass

V. 23
In the 'next HoH' thread we had a week or two ago I thought that a v.23 Duke with fixed arms and a bit of weathering ala HoH Flint or Beachhead would instantly be my, and I'm sure many others, default Duke. |

He'd also have to have a fixed crotch, and all of his accessories, helmet, binoculars, pack, rifle, subgun etc. V1 Duke and V1 Falcon have been my biggest sources of frustration with the 25th line. |

Custom.
I took Best Of Duke, repainted his shirt desert tan, his pants olive drab, and his belt interior green. Gave him the bandolier off of a comic pack Duke, painted to match the belt, and with the grenade replaced by one of Marauder's. He's got one of the standard Joe helmets, painted olive drab, but I don't remember who I took it from. He got the backpack, SMG, and binoculars from Tiger Force Duke, with a new strap on the binocs. Then, I stuck a repainted wave nine Hawk head on him. A smaller, more to scale holster, holds a Marauder M1911 pistol. He's become one of my favorite figures. I like subdued colors on my Joes, but not to the point of looking like they raided Snake Eyes's wardrobe. The V1 Duke colors are a perfect balance. |
