Hey there, I am undecided whether I should collect the 25th Ann figures or not. I like that some came in never before seen designs (Cobra Bazooka Soldier, Cobra Paratrooper), and I like how they upgraded some vehicles (Water Moccasin, Sky Hawk). The frustrating thing for me is there are so many Cobra Commander, Duke, Destro, Scarlett, Snake-Eyes, Cobra Soldier, and Storm Shadow figures with only the very small differences (shade of color, different weapons, etc). Also not to mention what is frustrating is the new stuff that is supposedly coming out then is cancelled (Night Force Falcon, Viper Set including Mercer).
I am an avid fan of GI Joe and have almost the complete ARAH series (loose, out of package that is) in my collection and plan on completing it sometime in my life. This is the question to you collectors out there: I want to find out from you why did you stop collecting 25th/Modern Era stuff? If I asked this before, I am sorry for posing the question again...just trying to get a feel of other collectors out there like me. |

you don't have to buy every rehash of the same character. In some cases its unavoidable, but you can always sell or trade the duplicates, or use them for customs.

Key is to not be a completest. GIJoe line sucks if you are. If you just go after the great stuff you will love it.

I also feel forcefully retired by hasbro. If there were any new figures I would buy them. I'll come back in the fall like Farve when the 7-packs finally come out.

Yeah I figure Hasbro owes me about $250 for the crap I didn't really want but had to buy.
Averaging $7 a piece: 8 extra CC + 7 extra Destros + 4 extra SS + 5 extra SE + 2 extra Serpentors + 2 extra Maj Bludds and 2 extra Fireflys and 2 extra Zartans. I Still haven't added Duke and I'm at $220 Thanks Hasbro. |

And from what I have seen of the Resolute stuff, the repaints continue. We have already had 2 Copperheads. Why another? Resolure Scarlet is just the normal Scarlet painted olive green. Another Tunnel Rat?
Hasbro teased us with awesome Resolute Troopers and Resolute Duke is the nicest Duke ever. Now it's back to repaints. Hasbro can take the Rise of Cobra crap and shove it. I see very little that doesn't look like garbage. Oh yeah and another Wild Bill with a craptacular looking helicopter they are passing off as a dragonfly. |

I've got just abour everything they released as 25tg/ME except for Piper. And I cant afford that right now. I've become much more discerning in my purchasing, saving me tons of money since january.
