Thanks guys. is there a standard diameter you file to, how do you measure it? I heard ...colloquially ... once that if you take the flange area off that the remaining peg area in the middle is about right for ME... in other words the vintage oeg is sort of a Phillips head shape with 4 wing areas protruding from the bulk of the peg, if you shave off those wing areas, is the peg remaining about the right size? Sorry for the weird terminology here.

I file them down as well. However, Xero is it sturdier to replace the big peg with a new one? Is it a difficult hack to do? I can't find the thread on doing this....

yyyyeah that's what I do with some things but with mixed results, I made a SA FN 2187 recently by doing that with the SA TB FO trooper body and the 5 POA Finn trooper head, and it was really hard and I have fear that I would ruin HTF Vintage accessories that way. I was worried that's what you guys were doing. Thanks for the advice though.

I use the vintage RAH Shockwave's backpack and uzi with one of my Shockwave customs. I had to cut the peg with a pair of scissors until it would fit the back.

I just cut off the peg and replace it with a piece of styrene rod that is the same diameter at the hole. I drill a hole in what is left in the base of the old peg. Glue in the styrene and done.

I only use one: the big long gun thing that came with 1989 Snake Eyes. I gave an extra to the 25th version to complete him.
