Guys, I am considering getting a second Silent Strike set to sticker in the alternate darker decal theme. Do any of you know where I can see a good comparison between the silver and dark grey sticker themes applied? Do any of you recommend/ not recommend that I should do this? I figure they will go on clearance at some point in the near future and a Sky striker sticker and assemble session is a good way to spend a weekend.
any help on a link would be greatly appreciated, I cant really find the darker version online anywhere. |

I'm sorry, I can't help you my friend. Unfortunately everyone else at this site knows where you can find what your looking for. They told me they refuse to disclose this information with you. They also said you shoot like Helen Keller, and set fires so small they couldn't burn down a ant farm. Have a great day;)

I can get a photo up sometime this week. I only have one Silent Sky Striker so far and it's got the darker stickers applied. Forewarning though, it does not photograph well because of the glare from the gloss coating of the stickers. Personally it looks great in person but this cannot be conveyed well in photos. Like if you see one in person, turn it away from the light and you'll see what I mean. Matte coating would've been preferred however in general, Hasbro's matte coated stickers don't adhere well(2007 Target Rattler) so I can see why those weren't used.

Hopefully this isn't too off topic. I just don't want to start another thread when my question is somewhat appropriate...
What steps did any of you take to apply the stickers to the curve around the cockpit canopy? I am wondering if a heat gun could be used to help shrink up the extra decal/sticker? I have a Silent Strike on the way, and would rather not apply the stickers if it is just going to have the wrinkles in it. |

G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary Silent Strike Skystriker w/ Sightline & Capt Ace | Generals Joes – A blog about the importance (or unimportance) of little plastic men has alot of photos of the buckles in the stickers. With some patience, you could control exactly where they fall.
If I try to heat gun, I will report back with my results. If you try the heat gun, I want to know how it goes. |
