I love the 25th/Modern Era Joes and so far have been pretty happy with the releases and our offerings but I really like the Playsets almost more than vehicles. I mean things like the Bivouac, cobras shooting rangem, MDS, Radar Station, The Tactical Battle Platform, and to a larger scale, GIJOE HQ and Cobra TERRORDROME. Why cant we atleast get some of the smaller kits. We'll be hopefully seeing that FLAK cannon sometime soon but who knows when Ill actually see it in a store. Well Ill step off my soapbox and hope that someone else has something to say...

I think the big playsets are unlikely for the Modern Era line. I foresee that movie PITT warming shelves in a few months. But I agree that the small sets like the Forward Observer, Bivouac, etc. would be great and probably not break Hasbro's bank too much.

Small playsets would rock.

Exactly. I try not to crap on Hasbro too much, but playsets are the one area where I think they fail miserably. I realize this isn't the 80s anymore and the toy landscape has changed considerably from when we were kids. So I'm not expecting awesome Kenner "Death Star" style playsets. But what bugs me is that Hasbro seems willing to do the occasional playset, but they make bizarre choices. That Indiana Jones Temple of Akator thing is still overflowing at TRU. If they had made a one that was from a scene in "Raiders," it may have done a little better.

big sets that will ultimately go on clearance - we'll never see em : - (
I agree with you all - small play sets would rock and are completely feasible for Hasbro to do. I wonder how much they could actually update them though, I do not think that they will simply reproduce them, what do you think?
