if ye check out this vid review of the upcoming chameleon from MArvel legends there is a very familar weapon for us joe fans . could this be signs that 6" joes may still happen or is it more along the lines that they had sculpted stuff for a Joe line but scrapped it ?

One of the Legends Punishers came with a Shock Trooper AK-47. I'm sure it just saving on sculpting fees. The original rumor had 6" SE and Timber for this year's SDCC. Since nothing has been corroborated by Hasbro, I'd say it's DOA. Hasbro has only been doing multiple scales of action figures during movie years since ROC. Mashers figures for Joe 3 will probably be the closest you'll get to 6" Joes.
Turns out he had multiple 4" Joe weapons.

Hasbro basically ruled them out for this year at the JoeCon but did NOT rule them out for future years.

I asked many years ago at Philly wizard con, and Jesse Falcon responded with a sarcastic YO No! I hope some day he's proven wrong.

I hope not, I NEVER want to see a 6 inch line for Joe. I have SOOOOO MUCH 3 3/4 stuff, it would just be ridiculous for me to start another scale line.

I dunno dude when they start making 3 3/4 line like the SW mission figures with the 5poa amd a joe 6" line you might change that line of thought. those SW 6" line are killing it

Hasbro is probably waiting for a movie year to launch it, that way they can attract a wider audience.
I don't think 4" fully articulated joes are ever going to go away but I think focus at mass retail in the coming years will be more diversified. |

I have a feeling that if they finally stopped cow-toeing to collectors with 4" figures, a 6" collector friendly line would have much greater appeal. Quote:
First, what does "fully articulated" even mean anymore? In an era where 5 POA figures are coming back into prominence, is a 10 POA figure any less "fully articulated" than a 14-16 POA figure? I think for 4" Joe to remain a viable part of the GI Joe brand, it will need to be re-examined. A $13 (or even $10) super articulated and accessorized figure is a hard sell these days when this is your competition: Collector oriented Star Wars and Marvel 4" figures (which carry a LOT more public conscious than GI Joe) A 5 POA Star Wars figure for $6 (or a 2 pack for $10) 2.5" Marvel stuff at $6 and $10 Transformers Legion, ONe Step, and Generations Legends at $10 and under Batman Unlimited 7 POA figures for $7.50 Tons of 12" 5 POA figures from effectively every company for every major brand. As to the topic question? I have ZERO doubt Hasbro's been bouncing a ARAH flavored 6" line around the offices for the last couple years. Though, in case of the accessories, I think that is more asset reuse than anything (like the 5 POA red Storm Shadow the Wolverine line got a few years back). I think the bigger question is what will be done with the central focus of GI Joe that might necessitate that sort of change, the perceived market need for a 6" collector centric line.
