These figures look great. I am happy to be getting the classic colors in this wave. I still will enjoy my NF versions just a bit more though. Being the NF colors versions are from my first Joe Con I got to attend.

You're definitely not speaking for me. That's like saying if they only had made the Crimson Strike Team Baroness that you don't want to see the classic black one released. The classic colors of the original figures are all that matters. The repainted team colors are not acceptable replacements. There are very few figures that are as important to release now as this Psyche-Out, Repeater, Muskrat and Spearhead. The only more important figures in this FSS are Slice and Big Ben. CGI might've been if they didn't totally screw it up.

I really wish they could do better on the cardart. Repeater is pretty great. Psychout is pretty crap. Just my opinion, don't get all up in arms. I just think the guy's abilities could be better. Perspective is awful on him (and some past ones), and the faces look so odd, I can't place why, like he was going for realistic but now it's hyper realistic? I dunno. But still excited to be getting these.

I totally disagree. The classic colors are not the be-all, end-all for everyone. I for one was perfectly happy with the NF versions. Not everyone has to have spot on versions of every vintage figure. If they never made another vintage figure, I would be thrilled, I would much rather see the line grow and move forward with new ideas than just keep rehashing the same old tired concepts. I do think the new FSS line up is good, and they figures look nice, and I will be glad to have them, but there are a lot of things that I would have liked better.

Take Freestyle or Crimson Asp from the 2013 Con set as examples. |

Yeah, but the Club knows that a lot of their fanbase wants the classic colors. I seriously doubt that the Club is going to introduce never heard of characters. That's what Hasbro is for. The Club caters to the collectors and the collectors want a good majority if not all the vintage figures made into ME form. And that's what the Club is doing for us. Plus, I don't think that the Club can conjure up some never before seen figure and make up a name and call him a GI Joe action figure. I don't think they have that right. I could be wrong.
Joecon Repulsor and dawg I thought they were both made up by the club. |

You're right but those are familiar characters with different names. What I was saying was "never before seen or heard of". We basically knew who Repulsor was. Repulsor was basically Sludge Viper because he wears the Sludge Viper uniform. And Freestyle is basically a black Scarlett because she is made up of Scarlett's head and most of Lady Jaye's body. What I was saying is I don't think the Club and make a never before seen face and body parts and call it GI Joe. But again, I could be wrong. Last edited by sbartek1974; 01-15-2015 at 01:48 PM.. |
