Walmart Red Dot stickers on shelf labels?

OK, so on my way home from work I did my daily ritual of stopping at walmart and checking for Joes (its right near work so its an easy stop) and of course...no new Joes. Hey its only been a month....

But there was this little piece of paper on the peg hook with a Red Dot on it. What does that mean??????? I know Target has used the color coded DOT system before and depending on what color it means either the item is no longer available, is going to go clearance, or is on order and so on. Anyone have any ideas, or work for Walmart and no the secret to this one?

Asked the Wife, she says at her store it means the item has been ordered. (if it has a date on the sticker it let's the dept manager know when it was ordered) Happy to help.

Very interesting i worked at wally world and some big heads from target actually moved to walmart so they most likely may be picking up some ideas.

I work at Canadian Tire and we've recently adopted the dot system as well. One of our employees has previous experience working with the system as he used to work for Wal Mart. According to him, and our new system, the dot color is to denote wether an item is in stock or not. If the dot is red, then the item is currently in stock and the hole must be filled, if the dot is blue then the item is not currently in stock but is on order. There are other dot colors, but those are the only ones I remember at the moment.

I am pretty sure it's mean a coming price drop and/or clearance. Why would they order more 25th Joes with the new assortment coming out soon?

Ok, well this can't be good because upon my return the following day to the same walmart, the DOT was gone and the labels were turned backwards...can't thing thats good...Sigh, this was one of the few Walmarts I could count on to get some new goodies once in a while and it was sooo close to work.

It so sucks...anyway, the new stuff for the movie should be hitting soon right?
