My girl got in with the last moving truck too late to unload so we left it until the AM never remotely imagining it would get stolen from the freakin' driveway....I guess it just lends credence to the selfish/gotta get mine era we live in.

GREAT LUCK! It seems even grand mothers with attic's full of Joe's know what they can go for. Real shame. I'm sitting here with a box of Marvel Legends I want to trade or sell, and can't even figure out Paypal. LOL.
Anyways, I found a Ghostbuster's Fire House for a $1.50 at a flea market, and I paid in change because I was broke. Other then that, I'll hit a few figures from time to time, but now a days it seems EVERYONE is a Know it All collector. |

Heck I've seen 80's corps in a shoe box at the flea market and the still want 7 or 8 bucks because they THINK he's and old GI Joe. It's almost laughable. LOL |

Very true sir. I'm the type of collector that opens and sets up figures, and it's funny because you run into people that have broken, and messed up figures and still want 40 bucks for a broken decayed Snake Eyes with nothing with him. Even when you JUST want the figure.

This is the type of thing I usually run across in regards to Joes...that and vehicles that looked like a dog chewed on them then pissed on 'em for good measure and the person still wants an arm and leg for them.
That's entirely the reason that my past find last summer was so remarkable. Me: "How much for this 1994 T'Jbang." Vendor: "Oh that guy, oh yeah, he's a rare one. One Hundred and Thirty-four dollars. Unless you want his hammer." (He picks up Road Pigs Hammer) "Then it's an even Two Hundred." Me: "Dude, he's missing his left arm, and that's not even his 'hammer'." Vendor: "Don't like it, Don't buy it!" But anyways...LOL...I think we buy from the same place. They have that dog urine smell and that overly chewed look. Makes you question what kind of dog they have and what do they have a against GI Joe. Next chewed up toy I see, I'm accusing their dog of being a terrorist! |
