So things sure look like somethign new is coming to Joe. I really really hope there is a new cartoon and push for kids. A 3 3/4 targeting young boys and maybe embracing more fun and fantasy and not what we all keep demanding.
However I would love for Hasbro to target us collectors with a 6 inch line similar to the Star Wars Black line. I did some thought and broke down what I would think a solid 2 year plan with a wave a quarter could work. Keeping with the Star Wars model I would have 4 figures a wave and break it down so that the must haves come first and the fan favorites and variants come after to help sustain the line. Year One: This would be the must have and most comon known characters to get the line to last you want retailers to buy the series and we all know who sells. The first year I'd keep a trooper a wave and make sure the 3 most popular woman are released this year. Wave 1 Duke Snake Eyes Cobra Commander (Cloth) Cobra Officer Wave 2 Scarlet Roadblock Storm Shadow Destro Wave 3 Flint General Hawk Baroness Crimson Guardsman Wave 4 Shipwreck Lady Jaye Zartan Cobra Viper Year Two: I would have mostly fan favorites and new versions of the most popular characters. If a six inch Spirit or Bazooka can sell as well as a new Snake Eyes or Cobra Commander then I think a third year could be possible. Wave 5 Beachhead Stalker FireFly Red Ninja Wave 6 Snake Eyes (Commando) Storm Shadow (Joe Costume) Major Bludd BAT Wave 7 Bazooka Gung-Ho Dr Minbender Serpentor Wave 8 Spirit Tunnel Rat Cobra Commnader (Chrome) Cobra Tele-Viper This was kind of fun fantasy booking but I think it's solid and would love to see what everyone else wants. I'm 75% sure some kind of collector six inch style line is coming so if we start getting vocal now and I foresee many more happy years with the Joes. |

Out of that I'd buy 5 figures at the most, possibly only 1
Flint, Lady Jaye, Beachhead, Tunnel Rat, Firefly

The line should focus on core ARAH characters with updated POC design and sculpts with really nice weapon and gear options. I think the most we would get is 12 Figures per year that runs along-side the main 3.75 run.
Wave 1 Snake Eyes Ninja Commando - No Timber Similar to the POC version with 2 sets of hands, two swords, classic Uzi, Handgun and 2 heads. Cobra Commander - Ultimate Version with vac-metal face plate and hooded version heads, classic laser gun. Beachhead - Lots of gear and weapons with updated look. Cobra Trooper - More along the Resolute style with lots of gear and weapons. Wave 2 Destro - 50th Anniversary Version Big and Taller then the regular figures. Flint - Updated along the 25th Hall of Heroes Version Cobra Viper - Updated 30th Anniversary look. Scarlett or Lady Jaye Wave 3 Duke - I don't know how this figure should be updated but I guess a Seal Team style Duke would be awesome. Baroness - SDCC Transformers vs G.I. Joe Version Firefly Classic look with updated sculpt. Lots of crazy sabotage gear. Cobra B.A.T. Classic 25th Style look. Just my year one line-up I'm sure everybody will have a different set they would like to see. I think a Build a Figure system would do well also, but it all depends of the style of sculpting we would get.

I might buy Snake Eyes and Scarlett. Otherwise unless they made a Lifeline (yeah right) I would not be a buyer.
Star Wars black 6" is selling well for for characters and troop builders. But prequel obiwan, greedo and slave Leia all peg warm. (Even Han and Luke are starting to). And that's got way more buyers than joe. I can't see a 6" joe line being successful when even much of the 50th peg warms. |

Hopefully they'd avoid doing carryforwards like in SW Black, which meant for a while we only got 3 new figs per wave. Not sure if that's still the case, as I got bored and stopped paying attention or buying after wave...2. Wow.
They'd probably want to get some easily-repaintable bodies out there early, like CObra Trooper and the Ninja Body, so they can immediate start sprinkling in guys like Cobra Officer, Red Ninja/Storm Shadow, etc. Maybe a Joe Trooper too, akin to Steel Brigade Delta.

Maybe include the old bandolier/harness as a vintage/80s change-out "option", for ARAH purists.

If we get 3 waves it would be a miracle especially as based on the forum most hardcore fans are rejecting the idea of a six inch line. |

If this happens, what Hasbro would do is this.
Wave 1: Commando Snake Eyes Storm Shadow (v1) Cobra Commander (Chrome) Duke Wave 2: Snake Eyes w/ Timber Storm Shadow '88 version Cobra Commander (Hood) Destro Wave 3: Snake Eyes (different sculpt) Storm Shadow (repaint) Cobra Commander (Crimson version) Baroness Wave 4: Snake Eyes (get the point) Storm Shadow (yes another one) Cobra Commander (because we can) Flint With SW they just put out Luke and Han over and over...so not too exited for a 6" line. I have decided to do what many Star Wars collectors have done and that is to focus on a certain character or a small group of characters.
So if there is a six inch line coming, I don't see myself buying anything until a few years down the road because the core characters don't really appeal to me. I was like that as a kid too though. My favorite characters were the ones that came out that year, whatever was new and fresh. So in 1986 my fave character was Sci Fi Gen Hawk etc and so forth. In fact the only way I would be tempted to get all the 6 inch is if they were completely new characters, and by completely I mean completely. Unfortunately that is the exact opposite of what the black line is all about.

It might be cool, don't know if I would buy every figure, a Build A Figure, might be a good idea on their part, to make you buy the whole wave and get larger Joes/Cobras (Destro, Roadblock, Gung Ho, Serpentor).
