Just wanted to express this... as a rejuvenated and newer Joe collector, I have to tip my hat to Hasbro for what they've done with Gijoe 50th and in general. This is a franchise that saw it's best days in the 80's and despite what appears to be limited interest, hasbro still keeps it alive, and, at that, with great figures that are a bargain compared to today's toys.
I'm sitting here looking at my brand new Arctic Ambush pack and am amazed at what I'm seeing. For 15 bux and some change, I'm gettin TWO well sculpted, well articulated, and heavily accessorized action figures. That's just unheard of these days. For as much as we hear about price point on both sides of the fence, Hasbro, most of the time, does right by Gijoe. Also, this is my first Bat and it is amazing! I was a wrestling and star wars collector for a while and something with those accolades will run you well into the 30, 40 dollar ranges. Look I've been critical on Hasbro in the past, and yes, I have my minor quips as well... the paint apps, etc, etc. Perhaps i have more of an appreciation now, but honestly, I feel pretty darn good about this Gijoe 50th line and what Hasbro has done for the franchise and I really hope it continues. NIce Job Hasbro, Keep it up...PLEASE! |

Regardless of what we may feel otherwise, it's always nice & refreshing to read something positive.

The 50th figures are some of the most fun figures and vehicles that have been on the shelves for a long while. I feel like kids can definitely be inspired to get these due to variety of characters and a relatively fair price point. I feel like Hasbro would be profitable targeting kids with something enticing to both collectors as well. I've thoroughly enjoyed the 50th figures so far.

Yes kuddos to Hasbro and Toysrus, they should pair up more often. I feel the JP line would have been more successful if they used strictly new body sculpts opposed to JP3 figures from 2002?

Yes! Hats off to Hasbro, Toys R Us, and the GI Joe design team. Let's hope Walmart and Target starts drinking the GI Joe Kool Aid again.
