So, lately, I've been thinking of what would be cool to see if the 50th. Anniversary line goes beyond one wave. In keeping with the format of the first wave (mainly re-used tooling with some new tooling and concept case figures mixed in), Here are my thoughts on what would be cool to see- one full wave to start 2015, and a second wave to refresh a bit. Hopefully, after that, there'd be a new mass-retail line for 2016. Here are my thoughts:
--2-Packs: Gung-Ho (Concept) Vs. Python Patrol Croc Master ("Swamp Skirmish") Steel Brigade V.2 (Concept) Vs. Iron Grenadier (POC mold, but in classic black and red colors) ("Iron and Steel") Heavy Duty (unproduced ROC Desert version, with non-movie head sculpt) Vs. Laser Viper ("Heavy Hitters") Zartan (concept) Vs. Agent Faces (MU Professor X mold, with new head- would have interchangeable heads for Faces and Zartan) ("Masters of Disguise") --3-Packs-- Outback (made with the same body mold as Bench Press), Shadow Tracker (in more subdued colors), and Rock Viper (in classic colors, with new helmet or head sculpt to resemble classic figure) ("Survival of The Fittest") City Strike Scarlett (with non-movie head sculpt), Cobra Shock Trooper (urban camo) and Alley Viper (1997-style Urban Camo) ("City Strike") --Vehicle Sets-- Stinger Mk. 2 (Combat Cruiser repaint) Vs. Tiger Force Trubble Bubble, with Stinger Driver (concept) and Skystriker Cobra cycle (RAM re-paint in STUN-inspired black and red) Vs. Joe attack boat (Water Moccasin in WHALE-inspired colors) with Motor Viper (ROC Nitro-Viper re-paint) and Shipwreck (concept) ----------Wave 2---------------- --2-Packs:-- Rock and Roll (concept) Vs. Tele-Viper (concept) ("Communication Breakdown") Storm Shadow ('88-inspired concept) Vs. Red Ninja Mountaineer ("Mountain Melee") Wet Suit (Mission Brazil silver) Vs. Hydro-Viper (new Eel mold, with new helmet, hands and web gear) ("Danger in The Depths") --3-Pack:-- Dr. Mindbender (in lab coat, with unproduced ROC Nano-Bot), Volcano Viper (unproduced colors) and Overkill (BAT in Overkill colors, with new head, and interchangeable regular BAT head) ("Cobra Tech Team") --Vehicle Sets:-- Python Patrol SNAKE Armor Vs. Cycle Armor with Python Crimson Guard (Retaliation sculpt) and Robo-Joe (Ashiko re-paint, with interchangeable head) Destro's Dominator Vs. Tiger Force Whirlwind with Destro ('moneybags' version, re-painted in classic black and red) and Tunnel Rat (Tiger Force) I intentionally omitted the zombie figures and ninjas from the concept case, as I think those would both be sub-lines that would have great kid appeal for a main-line release. Also, the concept Snow Serpent, because that needs a single-card release, dang-it!

You had me at Gung Ho
I really want the 30th style classic Cobra Officer and Stinger Driver repaints, throw in Tele-Viper (all done with existing tooling) and Lazer Viper (he looked really cool.) Nice to see we're getting the Hit and Run with the FSS3. And yeah man we really need a new Outback. P.S. love the Zep reference in the 2 pack title. Well played.

The one negative thing I'd say about this is I hate seeing a troop builder (ie Laser Viper) with a unique character. Seriously I'm going to end up with a dozen identical loose Snow Job, Blow Torches and Lowlights, I'm not going to want and not be able to sell. PayPal, eBay and shipping fees will cost more than what you'll be likely to get for a loose figure of the non troop builder half o these 2 packs once they flood the marketplace.

If only Hasbro thought like the OP, it would indeed be like heaven

Great list.
Follows the pattern of the 50th offerings we've seen, low cost. I like it.

Also, the concept Snow Serpent, because that needs a single-card release, dang-it! sign me up. I would like to see three packs that all three figures had a theme be it environment or type of soldiers. 3 pack Airborne, Free Fall , Ripcord (Sgt Altitude ) All using the Data Viper/Retaliation Lift ticket Body and legs. Each one having a homage to the originals but not direct recreations. So that they look like 3 guys all in the same division. Blizzard , Frostbite, Avalanche , All using the unreleased Arctic Duke parts . Maybe Mix in the POC Snowjob or ROC Arctic SE parts. various accessories 2x Cobra Shock Trooper in POC Cobra Trooper Blue. 1 POC Cobra trooper in blue and SE Webgear making a Officer like the concept case. Need a new Major Bludd with Tomax and Zamot in SDCC Destro/ ProF X Suits. Pinstripes are a plus. Quote:
2x Police officer/ Swat concept case
