$1.20!! Holy crap, I hope they have them clearance out here. I've been wanting that v-tol but haven't gotten around to getting it yet. If I don't find it in the next few days, hopefully a tanker that has some clearanced in their area can help me out?

I'm pretty sure the price is wrong, so jump on it while you can. I think its supposed to be $20 (not $2) so that with the extra clearance they'd end up at $12.
We'll see how long these prices last, I'll most definitely be checking at my TRUs! |

The price is an amazing deal. But I wouldnt assume its a mistake. It could be a large % clearance to get rid of the stranglers. It is from the 30 th anniversary, so it's been around for awhile. |

Im pretty sure the regular price is not $20. i bought two about a year ago with a coupon. By then, I believe the retail price had dropped to $15 because I paid around $13 with tax.
The price is an amazing deal. But I wouldnt assume its a mistake. It could be a large % clearance to get rid of the stranglers. It is from the 30 th anniversary, so it's been around for awhile. There is no way they'd intentionally sell them for $1.20. TRU never cuts things that low on purpose. They usually let things sit forever and ever before they drop prices, and when they do its usually 20% or 25%. They wouldn't intentionally mark a $20 item for $2 and then give 40% off on top of that. There are plenty of other things that just showed up and went on clearance too, as all of a sudden the shelves are full of product. TRU is known to get the same stuff that's showing up at Ross/Marshalls/TJX at the same time and sell it for full retail. I am pretty sure that's what's happened here, TRU got in new "clearance" stock from Hasbro to try and move during their "super clearance sale" or whatever they're calling it. My TRU has been out of those Star Wars yavin pilot sets for years but just on Thursday got in 4 of them and put them as $39.98 with 40% off. Either way, its a great deal on this vehicles for $2 (or $1.20). I'm just saying everyone should move quick, as there's no way its the correct price, and TRU might fix it. Or they might not. |

Shit, and I thought I got a great deal when I got the Crimson HISS at TRU a few months ago for $12!

Of course I'm no where near a tru right now. I am NOT a lucky collector. Well, I'd still pay $12 for a hiss.

I'd likely grab a second Eaglehawk if I find another at retail.

The "retail" price is and has always been $20, it is set by Hasbro. TRU can set any price they want, and they did lower the price to $15 for awhile.

I've bought plenty of stuff over the years at TRU for insanely low prices like this. Granted, it's usually not a Joe item, but it happens. It's not a mistake. It's the fact that this shit has been sitting on the shelf/in the back/in their warehouse forever, and NO ONE is buying it. I'm just saying that 90% off does not happen very often, but it's not a mistake or totally unheard of. ALSO, the retail price is not SET by Hasbro. They recommend a retail price for the store, but they can charge whatever they hell they want.
