I just found an Indiana Jones Cemetery Warrior figure in the trunk of my car the other day. It was a duplicate that I meant to return to Target. The problem is that the reciept expired on 4/1/09 so I guess I'm stuck with him.

I know 99% of toys/statues/comics I have, one or two may slip once in awhile.
But my dvd's I can never remember which ones I have or don't, especially when a store has a good dvd sale going on...I am looking at two dvds of The Burbs I accidentally bought a couple months ago, and even opened! |

I got to the point that I had to buy a program (Delicious Library) to keep track of it all. Right now, I'm back up to 150-200 DVDs with about 30% of that in Blu-Ray, and I've got a few duplicates in HD and regular DVD format because of my impulsive/stupid buying, but I'm slowing down on my movie buying for a while. Heck, I've diverted my DVD budget/obsession to GI Joes for the meantime. Plus, I ran out of shelf space. My girlfriend preferred my DVD obsession though, because at least she potentially got a large DVD collection if we get married. She's not so stoked about tiny plastic men. |

If toys were free I would totally forget... but they're not... so I don't. LOL. I keep precise track of how much expendable cash I have to waste *cough* spend on toys so the absence of 9 bucks would immediately make me think of where that money went. LOL.
And when I was a kid I would totally forget about a lot of things... but not my toys. Never my toys. LOL. I memorized all of them and when something was missing like a mother tiger sensing that her cub may be in danger I knew... I just knew. LOL. |

I was on the phone with Chandra and I found a Shockblast vs Destro comic pack under a bunch of my "weekend" clothes. Apparently I had bought it when I went shopping at Target and forgot about it. My weekend clothes are my normal clothes when I go out to brunch with my Aunt or dog walking. I don't feel comfortable wearing them, I look preppy and I don't like that.
But I was totally surprised to find it. I don't remember buying it though. But I still kept it in the package until I need them for customs. |

well u didnt really forget u bought it, u knew u bought it, u just misplaced it. but no i dont forget that i bought any figs, and i never could. tha only time i could see it possible that i would forget would be during wizard world chicago, cuz i do crazy shoppin that weekend and i may not log in all my figs, but tha chances of that happenin are slim becuz i know i want to avoid buying doubles by accident. ive done so wit comics, but thats becuz im always bringin in more of them. and again, con-weekend is crazy lol

Not so much with toys, but I've done it with CDs. I bought the Lenny Kravitz album "Are You Gonna Go My Way" when it first came out. At some point I lent it to a friend of mine. He then becomes a big Kravitz fan as a result. I sold it a few years later. A few more years go by and I kind of rediscover Kravitz' music. I ask my friend if I can borrow "Are You Gonna Go My Way," knowing he's a fan. He says "You have that album" I say "No I don't" he says "Yeah, you do. I borrowed it from you years ago."
I bought it, lent it to a friend, and sold it with no memory of any of it. I've since re-bought it. |
