Happens to me alot but not purposely mind you. I generally make a list and I forget to mark it off or I have it marked off and can't find it and my fiance says I never bought it but its marked off then a few months later I find where I put it because the step kids came over so i put it up somewhere.

Back when i was collecting POTF figures. I bought this boxed Boba Fett i forgot all about em till i happen to see em sitting there. I still think i bought some sandtroopers but all i've found is some Stormtroopers that show damage when wet or something. Not had it happen with my 25th figures.

I'm able to remember what I have bought.
Mental checklist.

I used to be that way with my DVD buying, luckily my collection of 450+ DVDs was reduced to 7 in a fire, so I don't have to worry about buying duplicates anymore.
As for Joes, I can tell you each and every Joe I have MISB, where it is in my closet, and also which ones I have opened. And for the Troop builders, exactly how many. I'm anal-retentive/OCD like that. I also aced Calculus in high school, when I had to. Can I do basic math anymore? Not a chance. |

I bought a Bentley one time and I forgot about it. I kept thinking, who the hells Bentley is parked in front of my house everyday!
^J/K I lose track of troop builders and vehicles sometimes, since I just throw them in the closet, until I have time to display them...
