We had three years of GI JOE/ Transformers SDCC crossovers and an "Old Snake" was never made. He seems like a fan favorite that would sell out to both transformers and Joe fans. He seems like a figure that could be easily made using existing molds. I would buy a year sub just to ensure that I got him. Do the board members have thoughts on this?

I think that those making the decisions about these thing are not "fan" and don"t REALLY have a finger on the pulse of the community and don't know the history of the crossover of the lines. its like they sit in a room and say: lets do a jet, what transformer was a jet ? lets do a tank....lets do a jeep....
we need "the big" names in the sets: CC, destro, SE, megatron,soundwave...... then they make them fit. I don't think they know about, or care to know, about the stuff we want. Its about what they want to make, or remake |

I could see the Club doing an Old Snake fig waaaay before Hasbro, especially since the Club also has the TF club under its umbrella.

IDK, what seems like it'll sell and what actually sells are sometimes two different things. Case in point: Kwinn and Data Viper. Fans clamored for them both loudly (especially after Hasbro said Data Viper may not see production) and yet they're both relative peg-warmers (relative to that wave, that is...I've seen both "in the wild", which is saying something) and can still be found available on HTS.
Anyway, as a low-volume item, I think an Old Snake would sell out, but as a mainstream release, hard to say. I'm starting to think low-volume is the ticket for anything G.I. Joe-related to sell through in a timely manner. Hope TRU hasn't noticed the same thing &/or decide to apply the principle to the 50th Anniversary stuff... |

Could Old Snake come out as an FSS figure?

2015 Club membership figure, or FSS3. Either way, I'd like one.
It would have made some sense to do it in a SDCC Exclusive set with another vehicle repaint, but I guess they're done with the crossover theme. |

I don't think I would buy one if Hasbro or the Club made one. Its not really of any interest to me.

If Old Snake came in the FSS, I'd probably sell him off.

Part of the problem with gauging demand is totally left to distribution, and that probably falls at the retailer level, but it sucks none-the-less. |

I'd be interested if they used the Renegades CC long coat/skirt piece, and made sure to use the chrome Ultimate CC head, probably with the ROC Destro jacket/torso on the top.
I've seen a lot of customs that skimped on his long coat.
