What would you like to see Hasbro do for the 50th/Golden year of G.I. Joe?
Me... I would like for them to just bring back some of the great molds that they used in the past and make use of them all over again in ways that we haven't seen used yet. We could get an updated... Breaker Carded Original 13 Carded Sparks Carded Firefly Carded Gung-Ho Carded Cobra Officer Carded - x2 or 3 Cobra Trooper Carded - x2 Cobra Vipers Carded - x2 or 3 Gen Rey Carded Adventure Team figures Carded - x2 And flood the market with them...

You mean besides what we're getting?
Anything beyond would end up following the same format, and I seriously don't think we'll see more then this one wave of the "50th anniversary" product. I use quotes because there's nothing anniversary about these offerings, especially 50th. It's the most thrown together/last minute assortment I've seen. But I love it anyways. Lots of stuff I want. For the 50th they should have done a line of 3 3/4" Adventure Team, tying the brand's two biggest lines (12" and 3 3/4") together with characters like Duke, Roadblock, Flint as AT members.

I don't think I could agree more! If they weren't gonna release any 12" figs, it'd have been nice to somehow pay homage to the original Joes using the 4" ME molds. I wouldn't mind seeing some 4" mE figs in the same vein as they did for the 30th. Those were cool, IMO.

Assuming what's been shown actually shows up at retail in its entirety, and they do more? Adventure Team and ME versions of the 30th Anniversary figures.
And that damn concept vault Gung Ho. |

I agree with some of what has been said already. Since it is the 50th anniversary, they should of redone the original 12" figures in 4" (like what Oreo Builder did) and do an AT line with some of the main characters.
I know the 12" guys are upset, but I didn't think we'd see any 12" hit retail, since they just don't sell. You all needed Hasbro and the club to come together for more exclusives. Soon the club will stop producing the 12" club figures, they've declined every year since I got into collecting. |

Here's the post. Looks like they want an idea for a 50th figure
Hello Membership! I don't usually post unless there is a question that needs to be answered but... After reading many of your posts about the 50th Anniversary and lack of 12" product at retail, one of our members posted on our FB page that maybe we should try a crowd funding item to see if the demand is really out there. So, here is your assignment: If there is something GI Joe 12" you would like to see us make (be as crazy as you want) we are happy to look at your comments, pick one out, see if we can get permission from Hasbro and try crowd funding. This will take the risk out of the project so, type away! Let us know the complete figure and accessories you would like to have for the 50th Anniversary! We could still probably get this made this year... -Brian |

They are asking for ideas for a TWELVE INCH product idea, not 3.75 (which this forum predominantly ARE).
12" didn't see any product because it is a DEAD segment at retail (at least the level of 12" figure product collectors want). The club is trying to do crowd funding to get a product off the ground, but I'm suspecting it will end in failure. I just don't see the 12" segment having the collector base or market to support more than what the club does (which, in all reality, is probably more than the segment financially deserves)
