I was just curious how many people are still buying and adding to the 25th Cobra Troops( Vipers, Cobra Soldiers, Cobra Officers, B.A.T.S., etc. ) Over the past couple of months I have majorly slimmed down my 25th style Cobra Army, in favor of the Pursuit of Cobra/30th versions of characters. At first I did not think I could do it. But I realized I was not that attached to the army builders as I thought. I sold all( except for the carded ones I have ) of my 25th loose Cobra Troopers, Cobra Troopers Viper Pilots( silver emblem ), Cobra Officers, and 25th Vipers 1st issue. I have kept 6 of the chrome Cobra 5-pack 2 Viper, but I am thinking about selling them off too. I still have 30 of the Bats, because to me the Jungle B.A.T. is something totally different. I just feel the POC/30th style figures were far superior in every way; yet still maintain enough of the classic element of the originals. Am I the only one that feels this way?

It's been a while since I bought any 25th Cobra Troopers but I have been slowly army building them over the last few years. At first I only got a few which I regret now not getting more when they were everywhere on the pegs. I've got somewhere around 35 or 40. I've lost count, that's counting the dvd pack Paratroopers, I have about 10 of those. If I was rich I'd buy more POC/30th Cobra Troopers for the painted rifles, head/helmet combo and the better fitting web gear and maybe hands if they fit the old 25th arms. I only have 4 of the POC/30th Troopers and don't wanna risk any damage to them to try it.
I like the 25th Troopers for the closer to ARAH 82-83 look. the newer Trooper is good and a great update for a modern look. |

The 25th BATs are still fantastic army builders to me. I'm not sure if it's because they're robots? Maybe the proportions have no need for further improvement because they aren't human. Either way, the 25th BAT is still a dream come true for me. I still hope they will some day tackle the V2 BAT 25th style.

If I find any 25th joes or cobra out in about on the second hand market at my right price heck yeah I pick em up. As much as I like the 30th/retaliation style troopers on both sides, I could never get rid of my 25th I have way too many:-). If I could snap my fingers and my entire collection would all be upgraded I would do it. I probably have 60ish cobra blues, 50ish b.a.t.s wit about another 20 moc. 40ish green shirts, I shit you not guys if I remember right at last count im at 780ish loose joe and cobra combined, that doesn't include my moc. Been collecting joes since the 25th back in 07 thats the line that started it all for me again since I was a lil kido.To make matters worse the ocd in me couldn't just switch out half of em I would want to change em off all and well that shit just aint gonna happen cuase im way too invested ha. So in my world the 30th line/retaliation are my special forces groups within my 25th line troops, hence the upgraded gear..aka look.

I thought 25 of the 25th Anniversary Cobra troopers would make a neat display. Now I wonder if I have OCD.
