Howdy Tankers, for those of you who have owned both of these vehicles/playsets how do they compare? Which did you prefer and why?
I have the Pit but I'm thinking about purchasing an MCC. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. |

The MCC blows the Pit away. They are both decent playsets in their own right, but the MCC seems to be way sturdier as well as has three levels of playability (plus an escape slide) The Pit I kind of looked at once and never dealt with again (it is currently buried under one of my shelves...)

How do they compare? They don't! The MCC has all the makings of a great vehicle and base at the same time. The PIT has a cardboard ping pong table.

The MMC was created back in the glory days of large playsets. They are both cool playsets and vehicles toys. I only have the PITT right now, but when I was younger, I had the MMC and I loved it. If I had both, I would connect them using the PITT's bridge.
Right now, the PITT is my stand in for my NEST base as it is tall enough for my 1:18th scale Transformers and my custom NEST figures. Another base idea I wanted to put together is the '83 HQ and the '91 HQ back to back as one larger base.

in the PIT's defense, it does come with a coffee mug for General Hawk. A coffee mug!!!!!! You can sit down and play out Hawk getting up all groggy after a night out on the town and fixing a pot of coffee to sober him up. Or maybe it's Irish coffee and Gen Hawk just slowly sips on it all day...just to keep his spirits up. Hawk does not have a drinking problem.
but in all seriousness, I never had a Pitt but I have looked at a lot of pictures of it and it isn't something that would interest me. I can see kids having fun with it. But I still have my MCC from my childhood (thank you Grand Ma for saving it!) and it will always be my favorite. It has so much going for it, a heli-pad, tons of missiles, bunks/med bay, a fancy command center. An awesome escape slide and even a brig to hold Gen Hawk until he sobers up the next morning. |

The Mobile Command Center is the highlight of my collection; I like getting to have the Joe base inside one of the coolest looking transports.

I got em both. The PIT is only useful as a supplement to the MCC.
