Yes, they have an entry for it in their computer, but I'm pretty sure that there have been times when they have items in their computer that they didn't end up carrying. They might have initially decided to stock it, then decided not to. There is the distinct possibility that Target decided to drop the line for whatever reason, even after they'd made orders for waves 3.5/4 (which will then end up at Ross et al...). I don't know that that's the case. I suspect that single-figures are still going to be carried once all is said and done, but even only the "Retaliation Line" being ended is not a good sign for the brand as a whole (if the Retaliation line is being axed well before the holidays). Especially when it's happening before the DVD even hits. Last edited by Jmacq1; 07-12-2013 at 06:02 AM.. |

Target may not have the Eaglehawk, no one's found one there yet.

There seems to be two heads at Hasbro. One that gives us Kwinn, Ultimate figures, Star Wars characters like Nom Anor, the BMF, and the updated ATAT, and the one that gives us 5 pt figures, crappy Iron Man toys, and poor distribution.
And the pricing points make almost no sense at all. I was at TRU yesterday with my son. No single Joes to speak of. The 3 packs are now MARKED UP, yes UP, not down, to $30.99. The ony marvel universe figure on the shelf was Hercules. While he is an awesome figure where are his friends Prof X and others? Now to top it all off I see the new Wolverine figures. I think wow, a pretty cool red ninja repaint, card is about as big as the dollar general joes, bubble packing is actually separating from the card backs, these are probably cheap, NOPE, $11.99!!! Are they out of their minds??? My son was able to buy a WWE figure though, a pretty good likeness of Hornswoggle, using what? Three times the plastic for $12.99? Why would a kid want half the figure, made as cheaply as possible, when they can get a figure of a character they know from tv thats made bigger and is generally on the shelves for them to choose from when they go to TRU? Not to mention why would a parent pay basically the same price for half the toy? My son said to me last night, I really don't like GI Joes dad, I don't know who the characters are. No cartoon, commericals, comic that a kid can afford, or movie really work seeing... I really just don't get it, but I will order my wave from BBTS and call it a day.... When TRU goes the way of Child World, Playworld, and KB someday, I won't be surprised. Last edited by Michael Jade; 07-12-2013 at 07:39 AM.. |

Especially when nearly every year they end up getting leftover store exclusives from the previous year, often with the "Only at <insert retailer here>" stickers still on them. Generally store exclusives are for a "set" order number. If the closeout retailers weren't buying from the retailers, they would never be able to get those exclusives. Until someone shows us an Eaglehawk and a Target receipt, nothing is certain. Heck, they had the Eaglehawk in their system before it was even announced at Toy Fair, and by Joe Con, it was being announced as a TRU/E-tailer exclusive. I doubt Hasbro would've omitted Target from that list if they were still going to be carrying it. Last edited by Jmacq1; 07-12-2013 at 08:11 AM.. |

I was already expecting this even for wave 3.5 which makes my life even more hard. Since I'm in Portugal I won't see these figures here and finding from someone there or via ebay will be a hard task. The proof is that the figures should be out by now if they were to hit the major retailers because is has been like this in the past they show up several weeks before the announced date.
So resuming we will start seeing these rarely after 20th I guess so 1 more week waiting. But what to do hasbro puts out such stupid figures in the first waves and stupid spring loaded weapons which were probably the reason why the figures had less articulation and guess what they don't sell. So it makes it hard now for the really cool figures and to us in general. Hasbro has to understand the line is completely dead for kids. If they don't change the aim to the collectors sooner or later it will end in fact its pretty close to end in my opinion. I don't remember having to wait almost half year for new figures in the last years. Release figures in zip bags or small boxes with no artwork for us collectors its not a big deal. Ask collectors which figures they would like to have and focus on 5 or 6 figures per year, 1 every 2 months. Make it available to pre-order/order directly from hasbro store worldwide. I think it would be a good solution. Now this will just make our lives more complicated. How da hell am I going to buy 10 Night Vipers under these conditions? Well only if I'm willing to spend 100 or more on them.

Has he seen any of the original ARAH cartoons? My son's getting to an age where we can start watching them. And he has all the non-movie Combat Heroes. He gets all excited when he sees one of his Combat Hero characters on the TV. Some days I feel like this brand is doomed like everyone jokes about. And the only ones keeping it on life support is us.

for ten, you would spend the 100 plus tax at retail. at one per box, I think you are looking at least around the 15 to 20 range per figure

I was minding my own business at Target looking at all the Roadblocks and Storm Shadows when a target worker who is a MU collector started hitting on my wife. She is an MU collector so she was in the other isle.
After some hilarious awkwardness I asked the guy if they will be getting in wave 4. He told me he wasn't sure since the pegs are still full with the previous waves. |
