Well I know I was really looking forward to army building that new Stinger and arctic HISS tank! They better release them at retail eventualy; I would hate it if they became rare simply because of a change in the line.

My guess is they shot through a few finished models, took some photographs and that was all. Hasbro can have it's little soiree for now. Let's see how the movie does.

A lot of fans got ripped off by that Amazon scammer that put up preorders for them with official pictures too. Hasbro should not have released official pictures to retailers until plans were finalized. A lot of fans had Christmas ruined by the scammer retailer thanks to the promise these were coming out and the photos sent to retailers by Hasbro.

Can anyone really blame Hasbro for this? I'd love to know how. They're the ones that went through the huge expense of actually tooling new parts for these vehicles and the figures only to have retailers back out at the last minute, more or less leaving them on the hook for significant expense without any way to recoup their costs. Seems to me that wouldn't be something Hasbro would choose to do.
They're pretty much screwed if they do, and screwed if they don't. If they don't release pics and info, the fans scream and yell during the Q & A sessions and accuse them of withholding things. Yet, if they DO release pics and info, then plans change (as they do 60-70% of the time) then the fans yell and scream and bitch about being "teased" and ripped off. It's a fine line that Hasbro has to walk, and I don't think any one of us can appreciate or really know the best way to do it. All things considering I think they do a damn good job. Justin |
