Because the majority of us all have to procrastinate and file Tax Returns and wait for the refund to comeback so we can spend it.

They can't release the waves now because we'd all be broke and the figures would pegwarm. LOL

I am the King of Procrastination and I had my taxes done in March. That's what I used to go to JoeCon this year.

I said it from the beginning that w3 wasn't coming out in May. They should have waited until the BD/DVD release for it. Retaliation pre-order dates showing 30th July 2013 and w3 hitting late July (yearly toy resets at retail) works just fine. Gives stores time to move w1 & w2 before releasing w3. Remember retailers don't reorder unless quantities are low and thank god Retaliation didn't saturate like Rise of Cobra.

Although the cheapskate in me is already complaining about having the Blu-Ray release likely hit when I'm wanting new figures.

I was good this year. Got my taxes done by the mid of Feb, got my money by the middle of March. Did not buy any exclusives so just waiting for wave 3 so i can throw money at hasbro.

in my neck of the woods, Target already appears to be doing alright. Sunday night they had mostly empty pegs with only a few kata RB, and some cycles. Their sale appears to be working. Walmart is a different story, fully stocked.

I got hit pretty hard tax wise this year due to flipping a couple of houses, but I'm fine with the late July release it will be perfect timing IMO. I would actually prefer if they released 2 waves a year with 12 unique characters in each case.

Ouch. i hope it was not a $1000 or more, because that underpayment penalty can really suck.

Our refunds came. Mine went towards a trailer and a new Sig 716. My wife's went to the bank for a rainy day.
Hasbro did say they were waiting for China to complete manufacturing and getting them on a slow boat.
