you know thats a good one.....first off super glue sucks.i work on cars for a hobby and collect gi joes.well one time i fixed a ladies door handle that broke off into pieces.instead of paying 70.00 for a new handle i use a expoxy that you get at a parts store..it bonds very well and its comes harder than plastic but you can cut and trim it if you need too.well while working on my terrordrome i droped a gun door.yeah you heard me right...and way the peg broke off and i was very pissed.i was looking on ebay for a new gundoor (like goodluck finding one).for some reason the epoxy jumped in my head and i was like i will try that ,what do i have to lose.man that was the best thing i ever did.not only it repaired it but now its stronger than new.i put some on the other end too to reenforce it....but that my friend is the ticket.you can get it at autozone, you have to mix it together but it just for plastics

Thanks guys, I might try the epoxy. What I'm trying to repair are the connectors that raise it up on the back, so it will have to hold the shuttle up. Then there is some repair work on the blue door that needs done. Again thanks for the suggestions, mark

I like Zap-A-Gap super glue. It seems to stick to some of the engineering plastic used on some Joe parts better than other superglues. There's an all plastics superglue sold at some home improvement stores, that will stick to otherwise unglueable plastic. Zap-A-Gap seems to be less brittle than other superglues I've used, too. It's not as apt to break, when used on flexible materials.
2part epoxy, like derby recommended, is great for rebuilding and reinforcing broken parts. The fumes are nasty, though. Deffinitely want some good ventilation, when you're using it. If you have a hobby shop nearby, look into a plastic weld type of glue. It works like model cement, by melting the pieces back together. Check the label, and make sure that it's listed to work on ABS and vinyl. That's another one with bad fumes. Even if you can't smell them, the fumes are bad for you. It'll give you a more resillient joint, than a superglue will. |

Epoxy. Get the two part epoxy that you can find at walmart.
I used it to repair my Crusader ship and well, it works. |
